The manager Nick said he'd let me recoup my deposit & payment on an item that I missed a payment on (by 2 days w/ out a courtesy call) and I showed up to be told ah no we're keeping your money & sold the gold chain already (90 day layaway wasn't even up)! Would've been better if they didn't have me limp in on crutches and stand around for a half hour to tell me in my face (sorry that's too bad) just not a way to treat people, at least honor the agreement you made over the phone! read more

Might be nice to buy something. But selling lady tried explain to me how buying in stores people would like warranty, Then says will give me 10% of something worth 200 dollars can't even give me 40. They will end up selling it for same price in stores. I chose not to cause an argument but they suck would rather just sell it on offer up. By the way the item was brand new. We stopped in on the way home and talked to Nick. We were looking for a high hat drum stand. He had a DW5000 at his other location and referred us to go there. What a great find! I went in this weekend to purchase some Christmas presents. I've never been to this store before and heard good things from a friend. I went in and the guy at the counter was not pleasant to work with, made it seem like he didn't want to help me. He was very sharp and short with his information and sales. Went there to get a loan and the staff was very friendly and the amount I was given was more then I thought I would get.when I came back to pick my stuff up(jewelry)they cleaned it for me for free.i would recommend them to anyone. read more

I was a little disappointed in the amount I was given as a loan for a $4800.00 ring. I think they are hoping you leave it or can't get $ to pick it up so they get it for nothing but pennies of what it's worth. Not great if you want a customer, in my opinion. read more

My wife and I had been searching for a used small screen flat television less than 20 inches something we wanted to have in our kitchen while my wife is cooking or cleaning. We called several pawnshops none had the right size that we were looking for. My wife remembered there was this new pawnshop on Pacific Ave, which she looked online and got the name of it. She called US Pawn shop. The female employee that answered the phone was very kind and polite! I commented to her about how she talked swiftly without missing a beat in her words I was impressed! This employee had such a lovely laughter and so kind it left a lingering impression in my mind that one day we should go to this pawnshop. US pawnshop did not have the smaller size that we were looking for so we went to other pawn shops, they did not have the smaller sizes we were looking for. My wife and I went to this particular Pawn Shop my wife and I had decided on purchasing one of the televisions they had a larger size, however for some reason my wife said to the worker at the pawn shop please disregard this we are not interested we will go and buy a new one at Walmart. After we left this particular pawnshop my wife told me how she felt uneasy because of her race and how she was looked upon as a person not to be trusted. My wife wanted to look at a diamond ring on sale the employee who was behind the desk his eyes got wide opened and he said I cant take the ring out unless you give me not one but two pieces of ID and I must hold it. My wife felt crushed! My wife said oh is it because I am a Black Woman. The worker was not fazed whatsoever he said no this is our policy. Even though this worker got the two pieces of Identifications when he picked out the ring he held the ring on his finger. My wife said to him do you think I am going to run out the door with this cheap ring. The worker was not fazed again. We took our Identification. We left immediately while we were driving home a few minutes before the US Pawn Shop was to be closing. My wife said quickly turn into the parking lot at the US Pawn lets go there because I talked with that nice young lady on the phone lets see what they may have that we might want. When my wife was buzzed into US pawnshop she said immediately she felt a kind of peace that I have not encountered at the other pawnshops. I did not know either of the employees that worked at this store. When my wife walked in the person named Nick greeted her warmly and very kind! Wow this to her was like a piece of heaven on earth for sure. My wife has encountered racial profiling and bias during our marriage at various stores treating her and watching her like she is a criminal. My wife and I saw a television we decided we wanted to buy and Nick was so gracious, warm and kind he got the television down for us and we got a good deal price on it. My wife happened to look towards her left side and she saw this beautiful young lady she pointed towards her and shouted I talked to you on the phone! The young lady smiled and said yes. My wife encouraged her to keep up the good work she is doing being so warm, kind and welcoming, she told her that because of her is the reason why we came to their store and we are happy that we did. Nick informed us they are a family oriented store we were delighted that much more because we want to support family oriented stores. We are so thankful to Almighty God that we were blessed to meet Nick and Mary Ann the young lady my wife spoke to on the phone. We encourage anybody who really want to meet real down to earth professional people that will treat you right regardless of your colors or race and will give you a very good deal on their merchandise I refer you please go to US Pawnshop. Meet Nick and other employees you will be thankful that you did. My wife wants some diamond rings or a ring and we are going back to US Pawnshop soon.
