David and his team of lawyers are the real deal. Forget those debt negotiation companies. If you…read morecan get over the artificial stigma of bankruptcy, what you should pursue is a fresh start. The first thing David will tell you is to never rush into a bankruptcy petition. His team will guide you through the steps you need to take to construct the six-month look back period prior to filing the petition for a successful Chapter 7 case. He is always available via email and Zoom meetings upon request. He even personally responds to your emails on the weekends! Be wary of other lawyers who advertise legal fees of $1500 and under. The last thing you want is to turn your Chapter 7 case into a Chapter 13 due to lack of good counseling, guidance, or diligence. David's law firm does charge a little bit more than those other firms, but it is still reasonable, and his team will stick with you to the end and never simply give up. And if you can get all of your unsecured debts fully discharged, the legal fees are worth every last penny.

I reached out to Phil in the Fall of 2018 through Yelp (as are all my discoveries). At that time, I…read morewas considering proceeding with the bankruptcy. But the thought of it was too stressful. So I informed Phil that I needed time to think about it. The first meeting we had, Spring 2019, was surprising to me. He came off as someone who was patient, calm. Of course throughout our meeting, I never felt judged or rushed into committing anything. I truly appreciated that. He even agreed to meet with my husband. Everything about meeting him, however many times and throughout our email correspondences, he was always professional and straight forward. I did pay the initial deposit so that he can do his analysis and also signed a contract with him regarding the terms, payment, etc. By the Spring of 2020, I was ready to proceed. It took almost a whole year to proceed because in between I was moving to a new place, I became pregnant, and tending to my emotional well-being on top of life's stresses proved to be challenging for me. Plus I had to save up money to pay Phil. So when I reached out to him after our last meeting in 2019, he was gracious enough to honor the amount we agreed the year prior. Obviously his fees had gone up, but he was just amazing. I was so very thankful. Him and his employee (his son extraordinaire) were on point with keeping me informed with the status of my petition. I was always able to get all of my inquiries addressed; always. With their busy schedules, and let's not forget COVID, I was grateful that they were there for my family and I throughout the process. Should you consider working with Phil's team, understand that the process takes weeks to months (you need to be patient), trust them (they will not dupe you), they won't rush you into committing to anything, and you will never ever feel like you are being judged.

I paid for my bankruptcy back in April 2025, and it's now November 2025, seven months later absolutely nothing has been filed. Charles did absolute nothing with my case. Month after month, I called and emailed asking for updates, and every time I was told someone would "get back to me." No one ever did.. What makes it worse is how convincing Charles was in the beginning. He comes across as kind, patient, and professional during the consultation just to gain your trust. But once they have your money, that's where the professionalism ends. You won't hear from anyone again, and your case will sit untouched. I finally asked for a refund, and still haven't received it. This has been one of the most frustrating and disappointing experiences I've ever had with a business. They took my money, wasted my time, and gave me nothing in return. Update 11/26/2025 I spoke to Charles on 11/10 and he gave me a fedex tracking number and told me I would receive my refund in two days. Two weeks and no refund. I had to go up to his office today, the day before Thanksgiving and DEMAND my refund. He kept blaming the delay on his "accountant". HE IS SCAMMER !!! DO NOT HIRE HIS OFFICE TO DO ANYTHING FOR YOU. I am also reporting him to the BBB and the AGC.
