Good with dogs and exceptional with cats. "LC" clinic is good for shots, neutering, and most vet services at a reasonable price. Many people nearby in Pleasant Valley use them and they are an asset to the neighborhood. I mainly now take my cats here. One time my semi feral TNR (trap-neuter-release) black cat appeared in a bad way. I thought "BP" had maybe been attacked by another animal. I spent a lot of money her at a different vet located, near Sonic, a few miles away. They removed her from the carrier and did a physical exam but found no wound. They then put her back in the carrier. They took her in the back room in my rolling backpack cloth carrier and did something that scared the crap out of her. (Carrier was never quite the same) Apparently they gave her a shot, drew blood and ran expensive labs. End verdict was a shot & huge bill with the labs showing she was experiencing "off the charts stress". 3 days later she seemed no better & I took her to Loving Care clinic where I always do her vaccinations. After a short physical exam "out of the carrier with me present" the vet quickly found two wounds that he thought to be from another cat bite or scratches. He treated the wound and she got better. Pretty much everything at Loving Care is visible. No back room treatment areas. (You sometimes see minor surgery visible in an open door room behind the payment area and they are closed on days of other scheduled surgeries. I like the fact that I can see and participate as much as I like, or don't like, in the care of my pet. I am not a person who "gets" a pet. We had nothing but dogs adopt us the first 25 years of marriage and I had never owned a cat. The past 30 years we've been adopted by cats! My husband never liked cats and I was a little afraid of them. Then I joined neighbors in feeding the "left behinds". Two different neighbors with female cats who regularly sold kittens on Craig's list but moved away leaving the cats to fend for themselves. We joined neighbors feeding them and ended up trapping both pregnant females, and finding homes for their kittens. We then had the moms fixed and they retired in our yard. One of the cats, Prissy lived in our yard and on the enclosed porch for over 20 years. She Actually outlived her one unadoptable feral kitten who lived to be 16 never leaving her mom's side. Now we have two TNR cats who showed up and "adopted us". BP has been with us outside over 6 years. The first 4 outside and now transitioned into house cat. TNR "Buddy Bear", decidedly more social, showed up a year ago and lives outside in two shelters.

The trailer was spacious & clean with all necessary equipment. My dog has had surgery 3 times and this was the easiest. The incision is small and looks fine. I got 3 other quotes and this was the most inexpensive too. I completely trust Dr Kovac and absolutely recommend!

Our pup would get very anxious around other dogs, and we liked the idea of her being the only dog "in the office", and had heard good things about Dr. Kovac. His ability to calm and gain trust with animals before and while "doing his work" sets him apart from other vets, and is his absolute priority. Witnessing his approach upon our first visit with him, made me regret not finding him sooner. He cares deeply about the health and comfort of his patients and their humans. After a short battle with bone cancer, we recently realized it was time to let our dog go. I had been staying in touch with Dr Kovac since her initial diagnosis for guidance and reassurance, and made the call for the final appointment. He gave me the information I needed to be certain that I was making the right decision and graciously took the time to make a plan to help my daughter (who has some disabilities, and was best friends with our pup) understand, accept, and actively participate in the decision with the family. Our dog passed peacefully and with dignity in her favorite spot, in the sunshine, with her people close. It is difficult to articulate our gratitude for Dr. Kovac after this experience. But I can say that that I have never met a more gracious, kind, skilled, experienced, and compassionate vet. When we're ready to bring a new dog into our family, we know who our vet will be. Thank you, Dr. Kovac.

It's sadistic and sickening. People like this should t have control over care of animals if they're going to abuse it. Stomatitis (her diagnosis) would need an antibiotic which she refused me. I had used Shoal Creek Animal lodging services years ago for my prior pup and had no complaints. We now have a 15 month old pup and she loves to visit the day care facility. She drags us in the place. Our dog can get rowdy, which is why we take her for visits to expend some of her puppy energy. She does get placed in time out from time to time, but it isn't for long and she calms down and is allowed to join the rest of the pups. I love the webcam and as far as I have seen, there is someone monitoring the dogs at all times. There has been several incidents, one which was our dog's fault as she can play rough. The clinic/lodge responded quickly and communicated appropriately. The entire staff is welcoming and the folks overseeing the pet lodge seem to enjoy all the animals. In addition, I like the fact that they monitor the vaccines of the animals and send reminders to owners ensuring all the dogs and cats are protected.
