At the time all businesses were closed due to coved 19. Dr Stryker agreed to meet me in his office and he spent more than an hour trying to dig out the tiniest piece of screw which had to come out. I couldn't believe the patients he has! He explained everything about the prosess to me and when his office opened back up, they called me I went back and met a lot of the staff and they are so nice and professional! Needless to say I had a great experience and I highly recommend them!! The office is clean and they took all the precautions needed at this time. I will be going back and if you're looking for a dentist I don't think you could do better!!!

I knew ahead time that this visit would only be x-rays since it's been a while since I've had them done and it was in a different state. Eve was upbeat when asking me questions about my dental history and then we got to talking about my upcoming wedding. I felt very comfortable tasking with everyone that I saw today. After my screening and having photos taken of all my teeth (so cool to see) I was told that they could fit me in with a cleaning that same day. I know this isn't the norm but I was more than happy to not have to make a shirt follow up visit. As I was leaving after my cleaning, one of the receptionists noticed I didn't have an umbrella and it was getting ready to rain. She graciously asked if I wanted one because they had some extras! Such a thoughtful group of people who deserve the excellent reviews they currently have!

I'm leaving this review to document my experience at Atlas Dental Specialists (Shadyside) for two…read morefront-tooth crowns. While the office is professional on the surface, my experience overall was extremely frustrating and costly. After my permanent crowns were placed, I developed persistent sensitivity in my right front tooth (cold and hot) that did not improve over time. I also felt a noticeable ledge/step on the back side of the crown near the gumline, which made me concerned about the fit/contour. Aesthetically, the crowns also looked longer and bulkier than expected with heavier incisal edges than what I was aiming for. When I tried to address these concerns, I was advised to pay for additional diagnostics (a wax diagnostic). After I paid for it, the office later terminated the patient-provider relationship instead of completing the planned corrections. What made the situation especially difficult was the refund process: the office confirmed in writing the refund amounts, but repeatedly stated the refund would only be processed if I signed a broad "release/indemnification" agreement exactly as written. The agreement was extremely one-sided. It went far beyond acknowledging a refund and included sweeping waivers and protections for the office, along with a "non-disparagement/online statements" section that, in my view, would discourage patients from speaking openly online about their experience. I was not comfortable signing something like that just to receive an agreed refund. Overall, I'm deeply disappointed by how concerns were handled. The communication and resolution process felt dismissive and, at times, misleading - more focused on protecting the office than responsibly addressing the problem. My takeaway is that the approach felt money-driven, and I left feeling I couldn't trust the process. I would encourage anyone considering treatment here to do thorough due diligence and not rely solely on online ratings.

They went above and beyond to help me get my procedure approved!! Those girls work extremely hard and I appreciate everything they have done for my family and myself!!! I do have to say those girls take a verbal beating from some of those people who go there!! You can clearly see that some of them are just looking for pain meds and then they storm out screaming and making a scene!!!! Everyone sitting around me told me how the staff is just amazing! All smiles when I was there!!! THANK YOU STEEL CITY DENTAL!!!!! You guys are amazing!!!!

Saw professionally awarded dentist Dr John R Bush in Forrest Hills and after he saw what Steel City…read moreDental (of the Burgh) has done he grabbed my shoulder and apologized. The root canal incompletely performed in February by Garrity without consent of no post or core, was rescheduled with Terasavage in March. I sat in his chair and he definitely did something but other than his assistant Kenya shaving my front healthy tooth down without telling me, I'm not sure what. Dr Bush revealed that the core was actually NEVER installed by Steel City Dental!!!! I paid for it though!!!! Major marginal leaks were found on one year old crowns with cracks that shouldn't be happening, and the Dr Bush noted the composite they use is crap. Simple things like making sure cement is flush with tooth was ignored and has caused a ledge on front ght tooth in image causing discoloration and staining with bacterial growth under the cement, Dr Bush quickly polished it down and I INSTANTLY look better. The lack of care let alone QUALITY care is laughable at this place. If you are willing to risk your hard earned money, energy, happiness, time (lots of hours wasted sitting in that office regardless of appointment time) respect and confidence then I would recommend any other dentist then the crew at Steel City Dental. If you want quality care that actually will last twenty plus years instead of 1-5 years then RUN! Heather is very unorganized and unprofessional. Also let me note that as SOON as I updated my post yesterday about Heather still refusing all my records and going against the federal law requiring her to do and only handing over unreadable xeroxed copies she called and said "I'll be sending those right out" Heather abides by the rules, laws, morals and values the rest of us adhere to only when she is threatened with legal/business consequences. She THRIVES in conflict. That's why the whole office is miserable. Please for you're own happiness and health stay away from this shoddy business. What would I have to benefit other than trying to prevent others from going through the same pain and strife I did? Please head my warnings. Message me, Id be happy to discuss further. Oh and Dr Garrity pays in gift cards for good reviews.... Says it all
