We have eaten pizza all over the world and this is very good pizza. The crust is nice and crispy, but chewy at the same time. The toppings were quality. The cerveja (Super Bock) is cold. Service is fast. The Urban Pizza is very good. The pepperoni they use is very tasty. One pizza serves about two people. They are about 12 inches diameter or 30 cm if you prefer. The pizza does not have a lot of sauce, which is a good thing in our case. The only complaint is that the drinks are expensive. Food prices were fine. 43.40€ for two pizzas, one foccacia, three draft beer, a Coke and an orange juice. Yeah, I know we're in a tourist area, but it was pretty expensive compared to other places we've eaten/drunk. The ambience is hipster, with reclaimed wood tables and cloth utensil holders that double as your napkins. There is indoor and outdoor seating. The tables are packed tight, so you will be cozy, but no uncomfortable. That's about all I have for this review. Overall recommended and we will likely return. read more

My expectations were not very high after reading the few reviews available on Yelp and seeing "carbonara" on the menu being made with cream, but I was pleasantly surprised after giving them the benefit of the doubt and wandering in on a Tuesday night. Tiring of Portuguese only options after almost three weeks in country, we wanted something a bit different. There are not a lot of options in Albufeira in the off-season, especially in the "ethnic" (non-Portuguese) cuisine category, but Urban Pizza happened to be open. Oddly enough, the greeter out front tried to sway us away and toward one of their sister restaurants on the sea front a block or so away, but we were hungry and not in the mood to wander. We ordered a Focaccia, in this case pizza dough formed into a small, thin loaf and basted with olive oil then topped with garlic, thyme and rosemary before being popped in the oven. It was tasty enough and a decent value at €3.50. We also shared a Dandelion Salad (€4.70) with chunks of a mozarella-like cheese, sliced and cherry tomatoes, lettuce and white onion with a pesto dressing that was also quite good. I decided to try a rather untraditional Margherita Pizza (€5.90), coming with tomato sauce, a local mozzarella cheese (instead of fior di latte or mozzarella di buffala), and oregano (instead of basil), adding some sliced pepperoni (€1 - salami piccanti). The pizza was not even close to Pizza Napolitana, being the "gold standard" for pizza in my experience, but it was also quite tasty and a decent value at less than €7. My wife's "Carbonara Spaghetti" (€7.50) was made with bacon, parmesan, cheese, and cream instead of the traditional pancetta, onion, and egg yolk, but it was also pretty good despite not tasting a lot like the more traditional recipe. A bit of grated parmesan (parmigiano) would have helped a lot, but our male server was preoccupied with a table of pretty young ladies that had just walked through the door. Urban Pizza exceeded my expectations, which were not very high to begin with, and we ate quite well for just €28 ($32), including a bottle of sparkling water (€2.50) and a glass of red wine (€2.90). I have had much better and far worse Italian than we had here, but it was a good meal at an equally good price, making this a definite TravelValue ... HOOAH! We loved it here! Friendly and entertaining waiter, cheap drinks, and THEY HAVE GLUTEN FREE PIZZA! Yummy. Perfect for everyone.

Dined here in the off season, we had the Fungi pizza and the Quattro formaggio pizzas, neither was outstanding, the Fungi slightly better than the Fungi one. We also shared the dandelion salad (a misnomer) which was very tasty. Service was quick and efficient. We have had much better pizza elsewhere in Albufeira. This place is over rated, don't bother. read more

Great food any time of day. We went for breakfast and dinner and everything was great. Service is always friendly and they are happy to see you read more

Very urban in style (but the music could do with a shake-up!!) and we sat outside in the covered terrace area which was fab - they have a cold water spray "air conditioner" which gently sprays the area with cooled air. We were here for pizzas and beer, which is what we had - two approx 13" pizzas, one Chicken Club and one hotter Diavolo pizza, with a dandelion salad to share and a large beer each. Very tasty pizzas, good beer - what's not to like..? All this for €32.50, good value, decent meal. read more

Was there 3 times. Once had nachos. Very small portions for 8€. Next time had the giant schnitzel. Way over cooked. It was so tough, I could barely cut it. I told the waiter and he didn't say a word. Next time had the fish and chips They are frozen fish! Awful. Hubby enjoyed the ribs. Pick another place to go! read more

This restaurant carried out the worst service I have ever lived to witness. My party had ordered a pizza for the table. We had noticed that about ten minutes after we ordered, another group had came in and ordered also, fast forward 20 more minutes and the other table(and the only other people there)had gotten there large order and we were still waiting. We asked when the pizza would be ready, and they told us it would be another 5 minutes. Fast forward another 15-20 minutes and they brought out our pepperoni pizza. The quality was poor, it was extremely greasy and the toppings fell of almost instantaneously. Because of this unfortunate happening we had high hopes for desert, I had ordered a crepe, after another half hour it finally came out and it was extremely disappointing. It was clearly a cheap packaged pancake and an old one at that, there was a scoop of ice cream with it which also was undoubtedly soft serve ice cream from aldi. And to top this all of,when ordering drinks they didn't even take my order. Now let's talk about the toiletries. Using an old tire as a sink is interesting, but not a very hygienic option. Also where as the "art" on the doors is creatively satirical for older audiences, but keep in mind kids go to this restaurant and will see this "art" and begin to ask questions. I give them one pity star and the promise that I will never be returning. read more

Perfect. Good food. Really friendly service. Not perfect but nice live music. Menu is divers enough and tip is the souvlaki grill. You can't go wrong here. read more

This is place is for sure a tourist trap. Nice location and trendy place. Staff was very nice and attentive. The pizza was literally the worst though. It's the equivalent of a frozen pizza that you add a little more flavor to. read more

I travelled all through Europe with wonderful food. Ate a calzone here and was the worst meal of my trip. Maybe have a drink (like bottled beer) as the service is great. But DO NOT EAT THE FOOD. Your stomach and bum will thank you. read more

We have a problem with ovens after taking order. The entire menu is a ripoff joke. Pizza place but no pizza. Overly priced 3 x over. Farce and the staff are on planet Zorb read more
