The trainer assured that since he is leaving he will initiate the suspension so there would be no fee and the Director of Instruction would be assigned to me to continue services. Months go by and I reach out. The Director (Josh) informed me that the suspension ended after 60 days (this was never mentioned to me and mind you - no one reached out as promised) and that I had "abandoned" 18 lessons. I shared my communications with Brian to Josh who then said we could "work something out" but then all communications drop off again. I reach out a few more times, at some point asking for the arbitration agreement (they refused to provide paperwork that has contract terms) and have since ghosted me.

The first 6 months we diagnosed and worked on fixing swing issues I'd had for decades - and which still creep up occasionally. And from then on, we've worked on making my "new" swing a little better. When I started my index was around 15. I'm now in the 7 range. Lots of improvement and much more fun on the course. He's easy to work with and provides great insights that I can work on in practice sessions. Far better than just hitting balls blindly with no real plan. Of course improvement will only happen if you put in the time, but the practice will be much more impactful if you are actually working on something constructive. Golf has always been about tradition and small rituals. A better move might've been sending that same employee out with a friendly hello... maybe even an extra cigar. That's how you build loyalty. If management wants to improve the experience, perhaps start with slow play before targeting important traditions.

However, my driver is an ongoing frustration. Even practicing,playing and trying You Tube videos nothing was fixing my push slice. I said WTH and decided to try Sam (local) for a lesson. Took my lesson with Sam on Tuesday and played round with friend on Thursday. Was nervous because I didn't have time to practice at range before and was going to try his advice on course....OMG, off first tee, hit solid contact straight on fairway. Not every shot and hole was perfect that day - bad habits are hard to change but I was making just better contact and had more confidence. I read a few reviews of poorly kept fairways and greens but they must not have gone recently. The greens are the best I've seen. Which is bad, since now I can't blame my missed puts on the greens. I've played Rancho, Los Feliz, Alondra, Terrenea, Arroyo, Arcadia, Scholl, VN and a few others and Westdrift is ranked 1 in my book. The course layout and maintenance are fantastic. Staff are super cool, there wasn't any back up of play to complain about and parking is easy and free.

It fun playing with friends and family and I like that there are different games you can pick depending on skill level.
