I feel sorry for their employees and any customers who have an issue. I've been a long time customer and it seems like turnover is high because I don't usually see the same people. Employees, even managers, are unempowered to make small decisions without input from owners. Owners seem fixated on the bottom line instead of honest business practices. Heard a manager badmouthing owners while other employees also were frustrated. When your own employees are so quick to express frustration toward owners, it's obvious there's a problem. read more

I have very high quality items that are in season (Boden, Madewell, etc.). All are extremely new if not new with tags. They continue not to be bought by the college Station store. I believe that this store is geared more towards college kids and not all of the professionals and young families in the area. I am extremely disappointed each time I go. The quality of clothes that are hanging up on the rack are not acceptable for the amount of money that each item costs. I have been to other Uptown Cheapskates in Texas which have much better quality clothing and variety for all women in the area. read more

This is a review for selling back. I've never purchased anything here. I arrived and got checked in. I was told there were 3 sellers ahead of me and it'd be about 45 minutes. I could stay in the store or in the shopping center. I set a timer, and went to my car to grab a snack and listen to my podcast. After 45 minutes I went in to find there were now 5 ahead of me and they have to prioritize in-store sellers. I said I was told I could wait inside or outside in the shopping center. It is a complete disappointment every time I walk into this store. I'm confused what they are even looking for during buys because they deny high quality clothing for being "out of style" but there are racks full of forever 21 and Shein priced the same as if you bought it new. No one is paying $80 for thrifted jeans. I waited over an hour for them to sort through 2 bins to only take my husbands collared shirt with pineapples on it and a pair of Lulu leggings from 2016. I had a brand new box of boots that aren't out of style, and I watched her throw the shoe box back into my tote without even looking at them. The entire staff profiles you as you walk into the store and if you aren't a size 0 selling old graphic tees then they don't want to buy your clothes. Asked several times during my visit if I was finding everything, could they take my picks and set me up a dressing room... This is a clean, well organized, very well staffed store! The girl scoffed that they had already seen these clothes before at which time she just shoved everything back in the bag. I'd added several more items to my bags this time around however she and the other buyer girl did not review me. They giggled about "just tell her the same thing as last time." Really glad I discovered this place! The staff was really friendly. When I walked in, I was pleased to see how clean and organized the store was. I've been to many thrift stores and I've never seen one that was this great! The prices were reasonable, I was able to get designer and brand named items for a great price. The store seems like a great way to get cash for nice clothes. I brought in a brand new dress never worn with a tag on it and item was priced at $130. They gave me 10 dollars and told me I wasn't able to take my item back because I had to leave the store while my clothes were processed. Definitely felt ripped up and like they stole from me. I went to sell clothes before the grand opening and got about 14$ of store credit and a VIP ticket for the night before the grand opening. Then i returned a few months later and sold about 8$ worth of store credit but the staff insisted that i didnt have any other store credit other than the 8$. After about 20 minutes they decided to only give me 16$ of store credit when i knew i had more but apparently their system didn't have records of it. read more

It was my first time visiting an UC but I really liked it. The place is really clean and organized and the staff is very friendly. They have a ton of selection for regular and nicer items. I will say their selection of men's athletic gear is limited to a few styles, my bf and I were looking for sleeveless tops but didn't find many but really I'm sure that will change over time since we were looking for something pretty specific. Overall what they had was really nice and clean and good quality. The price was about average for a nicer used clothing store. I got a lulu top, a new PFG shirt, and adidas shorts for less than $35 with tax. read more
