We had the first party of the day which was great, as the gym wasn't super crowded. The party room was a good size with huge windows that overlooked the kids side of the climbing gym. It easily accommodated 12ish kids, parents and family. It included a full size fridge/freezer, ice machine, and kitchenette. Cutlery and paper products were included. I would definitely recommend bringing table cloths. We bought some and then forgot, whoops. Our party host was Dawson, and he was a phenomenal guy. Super helpful, extremely patient with a herd of rabid cats- I mean, kids- and was just a genuinely nice guy. The kids gym was nice, a bit smaller than I was expecting. We've been to similar gyms elsewhere (see reviews) and this one left a bit to be desired. I wish it was bigger with more walls. Even still, there wasn't a long wait with the exception of the city skyline part. The kids also enjoyed going to the "bigger" room, which is standard indoor climbing walls, that are double the height and not themed. After orientation, the kids ended up with about an hour and a half of climbing and a half hour in the party room for food and cake. This worked out great though the kids were bummed when they couldn't go back after the party to climb. The gym definitely gained a bunch of new customers after this party, many of the parents were thrilled to find this place. The price for the party was really great too. For those who are interested, they do also have a bouldering section (age 14+ only) auto belay and standard belay walls, climbing clubs (kids and adults), meeting rooms and other classes (yoga, etc). All in all, I definitely recommend High Point Climbing. If you do a party here, definitely put a time 15 minutes prior to the actual start on the invites so that kids can get geared up and oriented asap so they can maximize climbing time.

My girls love skating here. The focus of this place is definitely on ice sports (skating, hockey,…read moreetc) but they also have open skate times for the family and it's a convenient blast. Ice skating isn't really a southern sport, nor is hockey, but what is southern is having fun while you're doing something you like to do. Also known as the Huntsville Ice Sports Center, if you like to get your skate on then this is the place to come. Bring your own or rent, dress warm, go skate. Were there weekly, maybe we will run into one another

I don't know any workers there but they all seem to take pride in their work. We went to watch curling. Had a great time and one of best spots is above the rink. It is very chilly up there so bring a light jacket. But a great place to watch curling. Only thing I do not like is price of food and what you get. We got fried pickles for 4.00 which seemed like a decent price for an app. They gave us about 11 fried pickles which all together was maybe 1 full pickle. Very expensive when usually you get at least double that as an app at any restaurant. We had thought of getting food there but once we saw the portion. We chose to go to a restaurant for dinner.

We had to wait 15 minutes before we were checked in because there was only 1 staff member. We were then surprised with an 18% mandatory additional charge that wasn't advertised online and told it was "for the staff". A bit shady if you ask me, but whatever. We already had a reservation for our anniversary and weren't going to throw it away for an extra $25. When we got to the splatter room we were both given 2xl shirts because they were "out of other sizes". All in all: fun place, but service was lackluster, the additional 18% put a sour taste in my mouth, the understaffing causes issues, and the rage room had a limited assortment of things to break, and the splatter room paint gun broke on us during the experience. Leaving a 3 star because the employee had a smile the whole time, the experience went mostly according to plan, and we left with a canvas and a shirt each that the employee gave us really nice boxes to put in.

She is always asking when she is going to see Mr. Corey, Ms. Monica, and Ms. Malorie! They are always so kind and excited to see the kids! While waiting on the birthday girl I went in the store to look around. No other customers were there, and when asked if I needed help I mentioned I was meeting my grandaughter to build a bear in a bit. This was at 5:40pm. No one mentioned that they close at 7 and stop making bears at 6:45. We ate at the food court. While eating, the birthday girls daddy walked over to the store and noticed it closes at 7pm. We all rushed over and arrived at 6:46. They told us that we were too late to make a bear. They stop taking orders at 6:45. We were 1 minute late! We were told they would not make an exception because if they made an exception for 1 person they would have to do it for everyone. I looked up and I saw tears rolling down my daughters eyes it broke my heart! So 5 year old birthday girl and her mom were both crying. We left so sad and disappointed What was supposed to be a fun celebration turned into a very sad evening. Creating a birthday bear was a huge thing to my grandaughter. She was so excited! These 2 employees made no effort to help us out and exhibited no empathy whatsoever. We were 1 minute late! That rule was not posted anywhere! Build A Bear was a total disappointment and I will spread the word to all who care to listen! #Buildabear #buildabearsucks #poorcustomerservice #willnevergoback I did call the customer satisfaction number and stayed on hold for several hours. Never was connected to anyone. Eventually hung up.

Absolutely GORGEOUS!…read more My friend Hannah took me to this hidden gem of a trail. While just off a main road, it wasn't too busy, only a couple cars in the lot. The trail system is vast with smaller off shoots spurring from the main trail. There are small cave and tunnel passes to explore as well as some mild to average level rock climbing spots. Bring comfy shoes or hiking boots as there are some pretty rugged spots, there are also warnings regarding poison ivy, so prepare for that if you have adverse reactions to it. Dogs are allowed but, must be leashed. I completely bent that rule, she had a leash... I just wasn't holding it. There aren't many trash cans on the trail so please make sure to be courteous to others and pack out what you pack in. This is also a historical battlefield site: The Battle of Days Gap April 30th 1863 Great Place! Big enough for a full day's worth of hiking. Also has trails short enough for a couple hours of relaxing in the woods.
