We had the pleasure of visiting in the last night of the season, our 10 year old had been asking to…read morego to a Haunted House but we were worried about how she would handle it, and we were right, she totally broke down in tears, but this is when the awesomeness of this place can put. We had three different actors take off their masks and show her they were just actors, they took their time to calm her down and tell her how to better handle the rest of the venue. My wife and I were extremely impressed by the time these actors took to make sure she had a good time! These actors went out of their way and did more than they needed for our family, something that really stands out to me!!! We will definitely be back next year, this is an organization that deserves recognition. I hate I don't have the names of the awesome actors that helped us out last night, I would like to give them a personal shout out. BTW, we all ended up having a great time thanks to y'all!!!

Upon investigation I found a nice young lady that told me about the small local history museum,the building and some Tyler history. Very knowledgeable and much appreciated. She pointed out this building was originally an Andrew Carnegie Library. I love the story about his magnanimous philanthropy effort that built libraries across the country Glad I found this one.

They have 2 historic buildings that were relocated to a convenient and well maintained, beautiful setting as you enter town. Excellent displays and artifacts in addition to historic photos and exhibits. Nancy, the curator has a wealth of knowledge of all of the displays and is a lifetime resident and descendent of the original founders of Chandler Texas. The sound was very loud during action scenes, to the point I had to cover my ears a few times, but the dialogue was often quite and muffled. Again, that might not be entirely their fault, but it did take away from my enjoyment. The popcorn was really, really good, and the pizza was just fine. The recliner seats are comfortable and I like how spaced out the rows are, probably to accommodate food service right at your table, but it was still nice to have a lot of space in front of my seat and also not feel like the people behind me were breathing down my neck. Staff were all super awesome and friendly.

So we planned the 2pm show and met at Film Alley. When we went to buy the tickets they had changed the show time and it wasn't showing until an hour 15 minutes later. I have never had this happen. Who changes the times on the showing of the current movie schedule? All they said was they were sorry. I'm glad I hadn't purchase tickets on their website. We chose to go to another theatre. I've heard of the Cattle Barons' Gala for years, as my in-laws generally go every year. Now that I…read morelive in east Texas, I had to find out what all the buzz was about. Immediately, I was impressed, as this is an extremely well organized event, and it's put together in a very classy manner, even though it takes place on a ranch, somewhere in the middle of nowhere. Possibly where God left his shoe. Who knows? All jokes aside, the Rio Neches Ranch is a beautiful place. The demographics: Predominately upper class white folk. Or, as the mainstream media would negatively say, A bunch of elitist, "privileged," white, gun toting, Republicans. To their dismay, the ethnic cleansing of the evil white race (e.g. open borders) hasn't fully come to fruition...just yet. The event itself featured a silent auction, better than expected food, catered by John Soules Food, a bar with all types of liquor, margarita machines, and troughs filled with beer. Live music was highlighted by Joe Nichols. I'm not really a country music fan, but he was really good. The crowd was great, no fights- hence the demographics {wink}. With so many CC holders in one place, at one time, how could this be? {Media shaking their heads} Once again, humor aside, the most important aspect of this event, is that the proceeds go to a good cause: American Cancer Society. It was a great, fun filled event, that I will definitely attend again next year.
