It seems that many of the master and top chefs in the outside world and the world outside of this, have begun to finally recognize and appreciate this pokeweed and its' culinary significance as it were, and as it is and always has been, here held in high esteem for a near half century. And most important the food and drinks were great! I thought the prices were great and if you arrive early on Friday the rings are even discounted. Dwayne Dopsie was AMAZING, worth the just to see him.

And God bless it so. I LOVE Smoking On The Red! This is one of the coolest events in all of this area. If you are an avid cigar afficianado such as I, then this is the place for you!!! Ladies are certainly welcome and encouraged to attend. As a matter of fact, if you are a single female and your friends are single females (even if you don't just love cigars, you should come to this event. There are dudes everywhere. I've always told all the ladies I know on the prowl, you got to go to where the guys are, if you want to find one. Go to where they are most comfortable. There, you will find them in packs. This is a great event as put on by The Tobacco House Inc, and this year, being once again hosted by the lovely environs of The Phoenix Underground in downtown Shreveport. There are cigars galore. Heavy appetizers. Whiskey and Scotch tastings (yes, please!) Live music thia year by Identity Crisis. The event lasts from 5pm to 9pm. Cost is 45 dollars. Buy your tickets in advance at all Tobacco House Inc outlets. You get waaaaay more than your 45 bucks back on this deal. All cigar lovers, male and female, must converge on the Phoenix Underground on Friday, April 5th, for this event!!!!

Spent $5 on a beer and just looked. Watched the live entertainment and browsed. Of coarse there is plenty of food to choose from if you get hungry. Lots of kids entertainment. You can spend and afternoon enjoying the people watching, listening to the bands. But if you bring the kiddos, entertainment starts to add up. I was there for an hour or two by myself and spent the $5 on my one beer.
