The leader said that her prayer was hurtful and implied praying over and for people was not done at Hillside. Wow! I have tried this church and several of their women's bible studies and gratefully God led me to the church I belong. It is inclusive and welcomes prayer and encourages we pray for our community. I pray for Hillside and pray they as a church community strive toward inclusion, not division.

First, I lived Diego....he is what kept me coming back and I still get super excited when he preaches, but I was was hopeful when he passes the reigns to Adam. While there have been changes, I have been doing my best to support the church still but I do not want to go to church (oh I would say at least one time a month) and hear and entire sermon on giving money, with little religion and family stories sprinkled in. Case in point, I watched streaming today....its how 10:15 and it's all been about tithing. Guess no message this week? And I am someone who used to tithe monthly, I have given larger than normal donations when I have found myself in a good position BUT I haven't done so now for at least a year because of this.

Even afterwards, leaving the church and parking lot was streamlined very well. The sanctuary is new from the last time I'd been here and it's very nice. There's a couple of locations that have obstructed views and they have them clearly labeled so you can try to avoid those seats. The sound was great, the decor was perfect and it was a wonderful evening singing and praising Jesus!

So glad I went because everyone was so welcoming and friendly (not in overwhelming aggressive way lol). The singing part of the service was really good! Obviously I am not familiar with the songs but they display the words and you can tell the people are so passionate about what they are doing. Since I am not familiar with scripture I was lost for a moment when the Pastor started speaking. But he quickly explained and tied in real world examples that helped tremendously! I really loved the message he was sharing. The service was the perfect amount of time. It wasn't overly long and kept my attention the whole time. I will definitely be coming back!

So kind and gracious and made sure I was comfortable and taken care of. I was overwhelmed by the friendliness and generosity shown by Mary Bette and one of her fellow greeters/porters. I felt like I was always one amongst them. After mass I was greeted by a number of parishioners and ministers who showed me great kindness and hospitality too. One of the best church experiences I've ever had. This was a special celebration of the 25th silver jubilee of ordination to the priesthood of the very beloved pastor in the presence of the bishop of the diocese.

Combine this long service with obsolete and redundant announcements that are purposely announced before the final blessing to trap people! The parking could be way better, as people, who mind you just came from Church, drive incredibly aggressively and act as if they have right of way all the time, which should count as a venial sin at least in my opinion. Although you cannot fully blame them, as there are only 2 microscopic exits to cram through, which for our sheer number of Churchgoers, it's simply not enough. However the Filipino mass is to die for, even if you're not Filipino. The food is great, and they throw a little party after the Eucharistic Celebration. Highly recommended, a must-go, and significantly improves the experience. Overall a solid experience considering the alternatives for Catholics in the area, although many areas could be vastly improved.
