Laura is the Yellowstone Whisperer…read more We had the absolute BEST day with her!! She took such good care of my family of 12! We saw the sulfur pools and learned so much more than just reading the signs. She provided thermometer guns so the kids could see the variation in temp from pool to mud pot to steam vent. She timed our arrival at Old Faithful PERFECTLY! We waited just 10 minutes and watched from a much better spot than the general viewing area (and learned that an average blast can fill 150 bathtubs!!). We stopped at Old Faithful Inn and the Lake Lodge. We saw Firehole Falls and the Lower Falls. We lunched in a beautiful, shaded picnic area with truly DELICIOUS sandwiches and HOMEMADE cookies!!! We spent over 11 hours trekking 270 miles total from our vacation home in Big Sky into the park and back. It was a total gift for everyone to be able to enjoy all the scenery and learn along the way and not have to drive. I ALMOST FORGOT!! We saw a GRIZZLY swim across the river! Plentiful Bison (they are such MASSIVE creatures), Laura pointed out Osprey nests, a pelican!! And so so much more!! It will be hard not to do Yellowstone this way EVERY trip. Thank you Laura for making such a GREAT memory for our family!!!

For a big group this is the best way to see the first national park. Corey was our guide and he was awesome! He was professional, educational, and attentive to everyone in our family. We learned so much more about Yellowstone and the history of the park then if we tried to visit the park on our own. I highly recommend Yellowstone Scenic Tours.

I was absolutely blown away with this magnificent experience! We hiked about a mile up to the cavern entrance. It was a steady incline and almost all in the sun, so come prepared for that. Sunscreen and a water bottle would be wise. By the time you get to the top, you're pretty toasty warm-and then you can cool off in the cold, dark cave. The cave/cavern (what's the difference?) is truly remarkable. Nature can be awe inspiring and what you see inside this mountain is a perfect example of nature's masterpiece. Be respectful and don't touch anything you're not supposed to touch. This isn't a horribly physical excursion, although there's a good amount of stairs, narrow spaces and even one area where you slide down on your bum. People who have any mobility limitations might struggle with this one-although I did overhear that there's an alternate tour for folks who might need accommodations, so ask about that. This was likely my favorite part of the road trip-even more memorable than Yellowstone! (Sssshhhh, don't get me in trouble for saying that.)

I'll start by saying this was one of the best tours we have ever been on, and I do not say that…read morelightly. If I could give our guide, Elena, infinity stars, I would. When you book (and you absolutely must), ask for Elena. She was not only an absolute joy to be around, but she is incredibly knowledgeable. She knew exactly where to go and when based on the weather, and she is a true expert in all things Yellowstone: the wildlife, the thermal features, the geology, the history. I could go on and on. My husband and I were celebrating my 50th birthday the day of our tour, and I could not have asked for a more magical day. We were a little nervous since it was shoulder season, but those worries disappeared the moment we got started. From the first stop to the last, it was nothing short of spectacular. We were fortunate to see an incredible amount of wildlife throughout the day, but two moments stood out above the rest. First, watching a herd of bison, including a precious newborn calf, was breathtaking. Then came the showstopper: a bear emerging from hibernation. Elena spotted what looked like a tiny dot on a distant cliffside, sprinted to her vehicle to grab a telescope, and within minutes we were watching that bear in real time. It was one of those moments you genuinely cannot believe you are witnessing. That brings me to another wonderful perk of this tour. In addition to the binoculars provided to each guest, the guides carry high-powered telescopes they set up quickly and effortlessly, so you can truly see the wildlife up close. It makes a world of difference. This is a tour we will never forget, and we are already planning to come back in the summer with our daughter. You better believe we will be requesting Elena. You can tell she loves every single thing about what she does, and she is all heart. Five stars is not enough. One million stars, minimum.

While en route, the driver rear-ended a fully stopped vehicle at highway speed. The impact was significant and airbags deployed. My wife and two children (both under 10) were in the vehicle. EMTs evaluated us on scene and, thankfully, everyone ultimately recovered, though there was bruising and soreness following the collision. What was most disappointing was the lack of follow-up or care from the company. We had to initiate contact ourselves days later and never received any meaningful outreach, apology, or effort to ensure our family was okay or to take ownership of the situation. Accidents can happen, but how a company responds matters. I waited several weeks to post this to give them time to do the right thing.

We visited on a Sunday and were pleasantly surprised that the park wasn't too crowded. Because of this, we had extra time for a few additional stops along the route, which was a great bonus. All of the stops were amazing, especially Old Faithful and Artist Point. We were also lucky enough to see an incredible variety of wildlife, including a grizzly bear, black bear, bison, elk, and more. One thing to note is that most stops are about 20-50 minutes long, so there isn't a lot of time to fully explore each area or purchase food. Our group chose to include lunch through the company, and it was more than enough for lunch. I would suggest to bring some snacks if you're a snacker. I loved the water bottle design they provided and ended up bringing it home as a souvenir. Overall, I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Yellowstone!
