Getting the setting correct with the finicky needs for stand-up (stage, spotlight, working PA system, crowd in tight to the stage) is no mean feat. Thankfully the hall was accommodating. A large space with some pillars to be aware of, it's a fairly decent place for a catered event. The imaginative event coordinator pretty much has a blank canvas that can be used to full effect. Lights are on dimmers to control the intimate degree of light, and a raised stage at the front has its own lighting system to provide attention to the stage for performers, speakers or bands. The hall is also large enough to accommodate a couple of hundred at round tables as well, so this is good for ceremonies and weddings of many types. I've been told that in addition to the comedy show we put on, the hall has seen weddings, award ceremonies, and metal bands. Christian rock?
