    Black tie old fashioned

Ambiance: 10 Waitstaff: 10 Drinks: 10 Food: 7 Excellent execution of the rooftop bar vibe. It faces a music venue, so you can hear echoes of the free Friday night concert below. Indoors and outdoors have great views of the locks, dams and skyline. Hostess was super hospitable. Waitstaff was very considerate. Food was overpriced for the quality. I had the $20 ribs. The flavor of the ribs were good, but there was very little meat on the ribs and they were in not particularly tender. I was today years old when I figured out that someone could mess up coleslaw. It was pretty bland and what you could taste was a bit bitter. Don't recommend. Drinks were on point. I had the Black Tie Old Fashioned and really enjoyed it. Most people don't go to a place like this for a good dinner, so now worries. If you're looking for a good place to drink with friends and a view of the city, this does the job well. And if you've had too many to tell whether or not you're eating well, that works in your favor.

Great time with my fam, beautiful view @ night... the breeze was the best, they did have the fires going it was a lil warm but I'm always cold but that's okay! " it worked out for me" winning! the appetizers were very good & the drinks as well...

Lovely view. Excellent drink. Love the vibe here. Will totally return. Will bring my posee next time as this is great for groups.

This place is great for the views and the awesome drinks! I love that the couches are situated around fireplaces, plus they have blankets to keep you warm when it's chilly too! I've been here twice now - first time was definitely a 5 star review. However, the most recent time the service was frustrating. Our waitress was quick to take our order, but we then waited 30 minutes for our drinks to show up. I still love this place, but from now on I'm planning to only order at the bar.

Extremely disappointed. After coming back into town for an event we brought our entire party to Up for cocktails and appetizers... after waiting to be seated over 30 minutes... A young manager named Dylan Ridgeway assumed he knew someone in the party and began cussing at us like "we" our party were friends... oddly enough after the long wait they sat us in a location we mentioned prior... yet we were not to sit @ but stare @ for 35 minutes (empty).... without even a drink I might add! We went to a bartender named Ali @ the main bar for our first and last round. Perhaps the server on the outside corner / back side was new... she was moving slow and had no help... I'm really confused by the whole visit. After sitting @ the location we had already asked for half an hour prior... we then were not once waited on for 30 minutes... we waited.. till the whole party got up and left... we were so hungry.... Perhaps he was too embarrassed to apologize... or even come to our table... ? However this man went out of his way to avoid us and serving our whole party? We saw him just standing and talking to people on the floor... very odd. I understand trying to arrange chairs to make sure everyone feels welcome, but if they are empty or your customers are waiting an hour to just get served... that's a major loss.. 12 people! Improperly Sat 12 customers in a location that was vacant...to later make us wait another 30 minutes and never serve us? That's extremely embarrassing for someone that first greets you as "I'm the manger of UP." As well as cussing while speaking to customers.. you never know who your speaking to. We all learn this lesson in life. I suggest mentoring under someone until you can manage yourself in front of customers and employees who desperately need help in busy hours.

Our 33rd 4th of July spent together. LOVEUP

Would go back next year and have a do over! Perfect in every way! 4th of July party was FUN!

Great drinks and good service! Liked sitting outside with the downtown views! We ordered the charcuterie board. Very good!

Blackhawk Bowl & Martini Lounge was a spontaneous stop during our time in Davenport, and it ended…read moreup being one of the most fun and unexpected highlights of the trip. We grabbed seats at the bar and started off with a round of drinks--Old Fashioneds and Martinis. Both were excellent. The bartenders here clearly take their craft seriously--my Old Fashioned was perfectly balanced, not too sweet, and the Martini (classic gin, of course) was ice cold with a clean finish. Definitely not your average bowling alley cocktails. The space itself is a great blend of upscale lounge and casual fun. It's stylish without being pretentious, with a cool retro vibe and a welcoming crowd. We didn't bowl this time, but the lanes looked great, and it's definitely on the list for the next visit. The overall vibe was perfect for a laid-back evening with colleagues--plenty of energy, good music, and room to unwind without feeling rushed or crowded. If you're in Davenport and looking for a spot that mixes craft cocktails with something a little out of the ordinary, Blackhawk Bowl is absolutely worth checking out. Next time, I'm bringing my bowling shoes.

Have you ever bowled a 9 EVERY. SINGLE. FRAME?!?!?…read more Yeah, me neither. I did every single frame but one, which was a strike. How maddening. Had I not gotten that one strike I would have been convinced that one pin was glued to the floor. LOL. My company holiday party was held here on a Saturday night and we had a blast. (Note: the lounge is only open Wednesday-Saturday evenings, starting at 4PM.) Things that were great-- - The entire vibe. It had cocktail tables throughout and was perfect for mixing and mingling with coworkers. - Shoes. They weren't old and gross! Always a win in my book. - The convenience of having it at the bottom of the hotel and being able to partake/enjoy then just head up the elevator for a good nights sleep. - Pricing for walk-ins seems ok, $5 a game, $4 for shoes. (But call ahead and make a reservation and pay per hour at $35-$45?) - Staff. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. A couple things that wasn't on par-- - The food. We did a pizza bar and it was nothing to write home about. - As other Yelpers have mentioned, the cocktails were not that good. After having one martini I opted for an Aperol Spritz... and the bartender was reading the recipe off the back of the bottle. A for effort. - We rented the entire space for about four hours and half the lanes were out of order randomly? Kind of a bummer. - No Big Ten Network! - Finally, there was a sign that there was a private event at the entrance of the lounge but it wasn't posted anywhere on social. There were multiple groups that were kind of bummed to have driven there and parked to just have to go home. Overall a super fun time. I think if they made a few tweaks (updates, menu changes, etc) this place would be amazing. Overall, Blackhawk Bowl & Martini Lounge is worth a try!
