As the school year wraps up, I wanted to write a review for Coady Rentals. My two kids shared an…read moreapartment this school year. I met Brian on move in day, and he was very friendly and reassured us that he's a very responsive landlord, part of the reason why they are 100% occupied each year. I can say that anytime they had any type of maintenance issue, it was immediately handled. As a parent, that's good to know that your kids are renting from an honest company that strives to do things the right way! That is a refreshing surprise from other property rentals that my kids have used in the past! Thanks, Coady! Highly recommend! Edited: 5/3115 - after the security deposit was returned, I feel the same way. Coady did not make up a bunch of charges to keep the security deposit as we experienced in the past with other rental companies. We left the apartment in the same condition we received it, and our entire deposit was returned (minus water bill, as was expected). It was great doing business with Coady!

When the pandemic hit and we were not able to do the volume of business we had previously done, they gave us a break on our rent, which was much appreciated and has helped us stay in business. There are quite a few lousy landlords in Athens... we feel we really lucked out to have Coady Rentals as a landlord.

Not many people want to sublease an apartment whose lease ends July 31, especially if the subleaser is planning to spend the entire summer in Athens. It would also be nice if the standard apartments were updated in some ways. For example, the kitchens being larger would be helpful, as well as an actual pantry. And the appliances could use some updating, starting with adding a microwave. A better way for people to find someone to sublease their apartment or for people to find an apartment to sublease would be to add a page where people can post ads for if they need someone to sublease their apartment or if they need to sublease an apartment.

I moved here 6 months ago and there has been nothing but problems. I live in building 37 on the 7th…read morefloor. One month after I first moved in I was experiencing nausea and vomiting every morning. I lost 20 pounds in 2 months. After several ER visits and blood work I was diagnosed with mold poisoning and a high sensitivity to mold. We didn't realize there was mold covering our HVAC system and mold in the ducts. I had a mold specialist come and they recorded high levels of mold in the HVAC, ducts, and walls. He recommended a full fumigation (this takes at least 72 hours). Maintenance came, told me it was MY fault due to taking "hot showers", they 'cleaned' the mold (this took less than 2 hours) and left. The mold is already growing back. The only thing that has saved me is multiple air purifiers I bought for the apartment. In building 37 there is a boiler system and you do not have control over the temperature of your heating or cooling. The AC worked fine (VERY cold, I was wearing my coat inside in July) but in Oct they switched the AC to heating. It is Jan and I haven't used the heat once, even in 20 degree weather. My apartment is always hot and stuffy WITHOUT the heat on. There are large gaps in the baseboards where pests get in. We had a mouse infestation with mice living in our oven. Maintenance came, put a glue trap down, said they would come back and never did. The glue trap caught one mouse and I had to dispose of it myself. A day later they changed the work order from in process to complete. Our most recent problem is a house fly infestation in the bedrooms. I have waken up with fly bites on my hands and face. When I left for winter break I put fresh sticky traps on my windows. When I returned I there was 20+ flies glued to the trap. Minor things have also happened such as doors coming off the hinges, our fridge/ freezer randomly turning off and spoiling/ melting all our food. and the shower never getting hot. They also raised the cost of each load of laundry an extra dollar, when the washing machines are old, poor, and constantly rip my clothing. I have lived in 4 separate apartments in my life and have never had this volume and severity of problems. My roommate and I pay a total of $1,500 a month for this apartment and none of this money is used for repairs or upgrades.

Completely rude and disrespectful service! Earlier today…read morearound Noon, I had went into Cornwell Properties on court street to do a quick survey for my Real Estate class. A survey that would have only lasted a quick minute. A real estate agent had approached me without giving me a name, so I will refer to him as Mr. Cornwell. I had asked Cornwell if I could barrow only a minute of his time and his words were "I have calls waiting, I have stuff to do, I have no time for that nonsense." And nodded me away like I was scum on the bottom of his shoe. I had apologized for his inconvenience and left. Though, I understand that I was not a customer at the time, I am still a college student, and like all college students, I am looking for a place to live for next year as well. I had not considered Cornwall properties as a possibility for next year, but I know that I certainly will not consider it now. Customer service should be granted to anybody who walks through your door.

The women at the office are not super friendly, and the parking is $600 dollars!! The check I received 2 months after moving out showed up completely open, i'm surprised the check was still in there. I would not recommend this company but understand there are only so many rental companies in Athens. It's unfortunate but just giving a heads up to future tenants. Good Luck!!

With her help, we just bought a home in Athens. That may sound simple, but it wasn't because we were "shopping " from California. Despite the time difference and the logistics of showing us houses by remote virtual tour, Brooke helped us make an informed decision, get all necessary inspections, and represented us professionally vis-a-vis the seller. if you are looking for a good realtor Brooke McDonough is the perfect choice.

I've called 2 different agencies, and one of them must have had dementia because he thought I was somebody else and cut me short when I asked about a piece of property and hung up. He never asked me my name, phone number, what I was looking for; NOTHING! I called him back and had to tell him that I was looking for property and he started telling me the price range and something totally different and STILL thought I was somebody else. So, I called another one in regards to a piece that I'm REALLY interested in, she was good enough to send me the details and tax info but I had more questions to ask and I cannot get her to call me back. I'm wanting to write a check TODAY but can't get her to call me back with my offer. THESE PEOPLE ARE NOT WANTING TO DO ANY WORK BUT JUST WANTING MORE MONEY FOR DOING NOTHING!

I was able to schedule a tour with them immediately, and I loved everything the complex had to offer. I was expecting dorm-style couches, beds, etc., but I was surprised by the quality of the furnishings. Moreover, the apartments completely include utilities, and as a student, that is definitely one less thing to worry about. Considering the quality of the apartments, the convenience of utilities, the helpfulness of the staff, and the variety of amenities offered (swimming pool, workout equipment, printing stations, study rooms, lounge areas, laundry facility, etc.), the rent is certainly reasonable. Not only that, the apartments are competitively priced when compared to other choices in the area. I did PLENTY of research into housing options around campus, and Campus Heights consistently offered the most services for the least amount of money. Signing a lease was so easy, and Kassidy and Ricky helped me throughout the whole process. If you're considering Campus Heights, I would highly recommend it.
