Breakfast On Weekends | Tried their Uptown Omelette to try their breakfast options during the weekend. Originally I was craving waffles however when I had ordered it, they informed it that it was only available on Fridays (of course I'll be back on Friday to try it). It would have been nice if they mentioned on their menu it was not available on Fridays. I ordered the Uptown Omelette platter instead of the sandwich which comes with a side of potatoes (hash or home fries) and toast. Omelette was delicious with the bell peppers, tomatoes and my favorite little sausage bits in every bite! But I was so upset there was no toast or home fries; hope they won't forget next time!

-flat bread -thin piece of chicken that's over fried -no ranch so they used mayo -brown mushy avocado

Prices are fair and reasonable and they offer a good salad bar with a lot of variety. While their hot food was never something to brag about, I've noticed a decline from bad to worse. Especially with their chicken. Old meat that's either super dry, chewy or over fried. See the picture as to what they call the chicken ranch (minus the bacon) -flat bread -thin piece of chicken that's over fried -no ranch so they used mayo -brown mushy avocado

I have got this in my deli box today. The most unfortunate part is, I found this when I almost finish it.... It's really really disgusting..

I ordered the fettuccine alfredo with chicken this time, which came out tasting exactly the way I had been craving it, and I was reminded why this Carnegie Diner had established a positive association in my memory years ago. The restaurant is modern and functional, so not a "retro"-styled or nostalgic diner, and the food and service are the stars here. I look forward to returning with friends.

Second Carnegie location we've tried and it was great! I see reviews mention how pricy this place…read morecan be, but there's another diner across the street that's even more expensive (12 for fries at other diner 4.99 here), so there's that! It's a typical busy NYC diner with a huge menu. It's a local chain so it's nice to try different dishes at different locations, so it's always a treat IMO. My husband got the turkey club (what I got last time at other location) and I had the chick-feel. My son got the chicken fingers. Turkey club: Good as always. Husband very much enjoyed. Chick-Feel: definitely a take on thr original chick fil a sandwich. But better. Their sauce is a house made version of what tastes like the CFA sauce. I'm glad I had it this time but I'll pass on the sauce if I ever had a hankering for a fried chicken sandwich again. My stomachless self cut in half and I enjoyed for lunch the next day. Kids' chicken tenders: they are huge. They are more like cutlets than tenders. Good value for $. This also lasted 2 meals. Service is extremely fast! Good amount of seating. You'll definitely find something you like here.

We ducked here to grab some nourishment before I became to hangry. Ordering takes place at the counter then grab a table. I had a 1/2 bowl of their "famous chicken soup" and 1/2 pastrami sandwich. Had good flavor and was enough to warm me up on this brisk morning. My niece did a bagel, and after trying all week she finally got one exactly how she wanted it made. We ate and chilled for a bit, no plans for the day other than making it to the airport to go home. Was able to people watch and catch up without feeling rushed to leave. Saw locals come through, so you know it is a place worth stopping. The staff were nice and even apologized for not being able to give me the soup I wanted in a half order. Though things can often get overlooked and passed by in the hustle and bustle of the city...stop in and relax while you grab a bite to eat.

Date of visit: April 14, 2026…read more Our friend wanted to go to a real New York deli during her first trip to the city and this is the one in the vicinity of Times Square and our evening show that was the highest rated according to my fellow Yelpers, but I am not quite sure why based on our experience. Things did start out great, with Boudjema being very friendly and helpful as we placed our order. And once we got seated, we were able to fully appreciate the vibe, both in the primarily 70s playlist, but also the mirror and brass touches across the restaurant. Food-wise, however, there were some definite opportunities. My Roasted Turkey sandwich did come on quite possibly the best rye bread I have ever had, warm and flavorful. But while the gravy was also good, the turkey was cold. This odd temperature mismatch made it hard to appreciate the generous portion of meat on the sandwich. We also ordered some tater tots and those were quite good. While it definitely could have been worse--and I've had worse in New York City--this also could have been so much better.
