History

Established in 1992.

In 1992 the South Dakota Board of Regents wanted to provide a public university education to the residents in its most populous city, Sioux Falls. Therefore, University Center was created and has gone through various name changes and buildings throughout the years. As of 2018, USD, SDSU and DSU serve as the primary partners of University Center with USD serving as the lead institution for administration services.
