great quality! awesome customer service as well! I decided to spend a little more through them and I got every cent worth of quality!

We had to file fraud complaints with the consumer protection agencies & AG about this company when our building was never delivered. And then after we got our deposit back from the credit card company, they charged our card again! Given that they were not authorized to save our info, they were reported for theft when this happened. I have no idea how they are still in business. read more

After reading the reviews here I have to agree with all of the ones that are totally negative. If your thinking about getting a metal building you better look somewhere besides this business, nothing but headaches right from the start. Only one thing comes out of this company are promises, promises, promises. They do not show up when they are suppose to the work they do on their building is nowhere like it is supposed to be and when it's all over and done with they will not return your phone calls and will not do anything to resolve the issues. Sylvia and Ruby are nothing but a joke. Believe me if you have any kind of problems with your building your stuck because neither one of them will do anything about it and don't expect anything from the owner. I have called so many times and left messages with no return. Just remember if you buy from this company and you have problems....YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED..... read more

My husband and I chose to have our dream metal building to be built by Universal Metal Structure. We are pleased with their hospitality and the quality of service that was shown and given by Alex! I've referred all my family and friends to Univereal Metal Structures. We are very satisfied! read more

Steer clear of these guys. Promise the world and deliver nothing. Not sure how they are still in business. Tried to upcharge me $5k for and un-need "site specific" engineers report. Took my deposit and suddenly became unreachable by phone, text, email and message from their web site. After 5 months of no contact I gave up and went with someone else and had my building up after 18 days! Still dont have my deposit back and have no options left but to contact the NC Attorney General. Worst company ever. read more

The reviews I see on here are old. I purchased a building in January of 2024. The salesperson (Blake) was easy to work with and made helpful suggestions. The construction crew, lead by Omar, was great and completed my 20 x 30 with a side lean-to in less than 1 day. We had a torrential rain 2 days later and when I checked it was complete dry. 100% satisfied! read more

Absolutely the worst customer service. Buyer Beware!!!! I bought a 24x36 building from one of their resellers and they do not stand behind the dents that were in my brand new building door! They actually had the nerve to tell me today (3 months later BTW) that it is in their contract that manufacturer dents and scratches are not covered under warranty! I have pictures and reported all this to them the day after the install when I could review the building. The installers also did not install lock properly and left trash behind after install. Imagine if you bought a new car and the dealer says you have to deal with the scratches and dents in the car because they came from the manufacturer. After threatening negative reviews they sent a person with a door today BUT he said it might even be worse than the one I had and I had to sign for it before he would even put it up???? He also said that the company did not care about negative reviews or the BBB. Find another company that stands behind their product! read more

I would give this company negative reviews if I could. Do yourself a favor and look at the reviews on better business bureau before purchasing from this company. We were originally scheduled for this garage to arrive on two separate dates. The date and time was confirmed with universal metal structures. We had to have a machine operator and a machine here as requested by the company for assembly. On both dates the garage was not delivered and received no phone call or communication with status update. Multiple calls to company made with no status or communication on the location and estimated delivery. On the third delivery attempt we finally received and assembled the garage successfully. We were lied to by the company regarding refund for r machine rental and operator when delivery did not occur so that we paid the company in full and now after 8 weeks of contacting the company for refund we are being advised that we were lied to by the company supervisor and will not be receiving refund. It is impossible to get anyone on the phone. All they are interested in is making the sale and not rectifying any issues that occur. Very disorganized, no communication between staff members and different departments. Do yourself a favor and find any other company to deal with as this one is not worth the headache. read more

Ordered my building on Oct 22, 2020. Finally, started the installation 5 months later!! Was told the one piece roof panels maxed out at 36'. Installer brought 20' and 16 ' sections that would have required a seam (not good). They came back one day after the 6 month anniversary of the order with the 36' panels. The first panel went up and that showed that the frame was bowed. They are now in the process of removing everything and giving me a refund of my deposit. Total disaster. Communication stinks. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. read more

they built a nice building but didn't finish the roof cap with closers, been leaking from day one but it's been four weeks and they will not come back to fix. just a bunch of employ promises they they will come at some point. read more

I had this company to install a carport, it has been the worst experience of workmanship and customer service. Please do your research before you get this company to do some work for you. They have not been responsive to the issues. read more

Building was not put up on the agreed upon measurements. I asked for several months for it to be fixed but nothing. Finally I asked for a portion of the building cost back. Fidel Martinez said he would get it fixed but didn't. Ended up in court with the judge ruling in my favor and it's been over a month and they still haven't paid. I'll have to start having a sheriff show up at their place of business now to collect. read more

This company is absolutely horrible. We ordered a carport on 07-19-2021 and as of today 01-24-2022 we still don't not have an answer on delivery. We have called every month or so and always get the same response..... they are delayed. They have no answers. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!!! If I could give no stars I would! read more

This is absolutely by far the most unprofessional company I have ever done business with. No call no show for the first install date and a call for the second delivery date to reschedule again. Company accepts no responsibility for any of these actions and only makes excuses and blames others. Scheduling staff and customer service is terrible and could care less about this company and customers. How this company remains in business is beyond me. In my opinion stay clear of this business and go elsewhere. read more

Worst company I've dealt with in years. Ordered my building in April, 2021 and promised 6-8 weeks delivery and installation. Still waiting. Service Manager will not return calls or emails. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone unless you are looking to be disappointed. They have a 1+ rating with the BBB. read more

It's been 17 weeks and I still haven't got my building. They told me 8 to 10 wks lead time. I gave them a deposit of almost 1000k and now I just keep waiting with excuse after excuse. I cant get my deposit back, its non refundable. They just keep giving me nonsense on why it's so late. First it was supposedly scheduling problem and then 4 weeks later it is a problem getting the material and now it's because they went on vacation for the 4th of july until the 12th of July. I have asked to have a supervisor/manager/owner call me back yet no one does! I get a different excuse from each person i talk to. I'm not sure what's the truth. This company is one of the worst I've ever dealt with! BUYER BEWARE! If u are considering this company because they have the lowest price... please reconsider and take ur business elsewhere because they will take ur money and never build the building u paid them to build. I feel like I got scammed out of my 1k. NOT A HAPPY CUSTOMER AT ALL!!!! read more

I've had nothing but a nightmare experience with this company! They took much longer to build my carport than what they had originally promised. In the meantime due to personal issues, I decided to cancel my carport. Low and behold, little was I told originally from said supervisor it's a 20 percent restock fee, and I lost the original deposit also. So, we're referring to a little over 300. We'll, fast forward it's now 2 1/2 weeks later, the refund is still not showing up as a refund on my credit card. So, I call once again, the next "supervisor " places me on hold, goes and gets the office manager, Mr Martinez. And now, my problems are finally solved. Thank you Mr Martinez, I appreciate you. If your employees were as professional as you, and courteous, I would of never had a problem with UMB. I'll definitely never refer anyone to this company. I've never dealt with such rude, unknowledgeable, untrained, supposed customer service staff, in all my life! read more
