I don't say this about many contractors, but I'm so glad we went with them. Mike and his crew were great to work with, very respectful of our property and provided a high quality patio that we love. The crew were all really nice and clearly take a lot of pride in what they do. They were also the cleanest contractors I've ever worked with. Truly so impressed with their work and would recommend them to anyone. Fair warning, they are busy so communication may be slow at times, but rest assured, in the end, it'll be worth it.

Mike (the owner) and his crew evaluated the best way to do things, provided us with a couple of options with pros and cons of each. Then, over a 2-day period, did great work of sanding/sealing the brickwork with high attention to detail. On the second day, I was home, and went out to see the work - and was shown in detail what was done.

One of the guys installing was on his cell phone while cutting the grass . We have to have the manufacturer come and hopefully correct it or else we wasted $3500. They were to come back and correct the concrete and they never did. We were left with concrete on our windows and mud on our driveway and street which took my husband two hours to clean with a power washer. They worked sporadically during the entire project. We mentioned that we had some landscaping work we wanted to do and they went out of their way to be accomodating and helpful. Everyone from the top to the bottom was extremely friendly, capable and neat. The work was done on time and by their expressed schedule. The level of creativity and responsibility for our property was amazing. They went over and above what was in their contract, we are extremely pleased and would recommend them to everyone. We have dealt with many contractors and find Cal and Shan's the top of the list! Their philosophy is that they will treat your property as if it was their own, and they follow it meticulously. Their workmanship was phenomenal.

We had Cal and Shan's replace our back concrete steps and pour a concrete patio in 2021. Mostly…read moregood, except... the landing between the steps and the patio was poured incorrectly, sloping toward the house and causing rainwater to leak under the wall into the enclosed sunroom. Todd resisted replacing the landing, suggesting instead making a drainage groove in the landing and installing flashing with sealant along the bottom of the wall. Against our better judgment, we went with his approach. It worked for a while, sort of, but water would still leak in with heavy rain and the problem got worse with time. I called again this year and talked to Ross, asking how they would recommend resolving the issue; he said they would contact us to schedule a time for Todd to come take a look, but I never heard back. Thus, we hired someone else to fix their mistake. It was an expensive project, was done incorrectly, and their followup/response was poor. I see lots of positive reviews online for them, but our experience is that if there is an issue with their work, they aren't likely to do much to make it right.

However, after the first rain, it became clear that the drainage issue had become far worse. Where we use to get minimal pooling on in the spring, we now had a pond. The work was not completed per the terms of the contract. The photos are after they installed our so-called drainage solution. We were able to obtain a landscaping laser level and probe to find the pipe. We found that not only was the drainage pipe run uphill away from the house but no pea gravel or filtered sock has been used. Elias has not fixed the issue or refunded our substantial bill for our yard drainage and has had more than a month to do so.
