This was a nice little event! Glad I finally got to come after seeing it advertised for a couple years! The event space was pretty big! The vendors, however were a bit smaller than I imagined. The food and drinks were really good! I got there around 2p and Maxine's on Shine started to run out of chicken N waffle cones! I was able to snag one before they completely sold out! Dixie Darma has a booth as well with some pretty tasty vegan tofu scramble tacos! There were plenty of drink vendors around though! With everything from Mimosas to Bloody Marys! In the main parlor, there was a booth with coffee and Tres Lichee cake (that was my favorite booth!) In conclusio, the event is pretty small, but I could see the appeal if you spent the full three hours socializing ( it's definitely a group event). The few vendors there were really tasty though!
This was my first time attending and WOW. I was impressed. The event was organized and plenty of variety and quantity of food and drink. I have to say I was a bit concerned about the price but after going I can say.. "Totally Worth It" There were entertainers and some local vendor setting up their wares in the hall to mix things up a bit. The entire atmosphere was very casual, friendly and relaxing. I think next year I have to talk some more friends into going to enjoy this wonderful event.
Thank you Orlando Weekly, all the sponsors and vendors, Yelp and Andi for this great event! With a VIP ticket, we had early entry to the event. The line moved quickly through security, ID checks, wristbanding and ticket scanning. Once in the courtyard, we were greeted with a souvenir glass filled with mimosa. There were many rooms up and downstairs and indoor/outdoor of Orchid Garden where United We Brunch was held. My favorite bites of the day were: Ravenous Pig's chicken waffle dogs, Maxine's chicken sausage in waffle cone, and Lafayettes banana bread French toast. The chicken waffle dogs looked like mini corn dogs with chicken sausage inside tasty caramel sauce. Maxine's dish was a little harder to eat as you got a full size waffle cone with two little chicken bites within. The sauce with it was savory and reminded me of a pot pie. Overall this was a cool experience and it was great to meet the locals at this event!
The line was out the door 15 minutes before the event started at noon. It moved very quickly as our tickets were scanned, our bags were checked and our persons were metal detected. It felt slightly less crowded than last year, which was a huge help because the bar lines were still somewhat long but not unmanageable like last year. I was glad that First Watch was back with their avocado bread and a fun, healthy drink. Seasons 52 had a delicious salmon offering. Peach Valley Cafe had a healthy fruit (strawberry, blueberry, banana), chia and granola mix. Foxtail Coffee brought their cold brew! Other highlights were Cafe Tu Tu Tango, Canvas and Tapa Toro. Throughout the event I felt like I had enough to circulate through the rooms and try all the offerings, as well as getting in one of the lines for another mimosa. I don't drink Bloody Marys but there were two flavor options: fresh and spicy! I received my ticket to this event complimentary through Yelp.
First time at united we brunch and what a fun time!!! Did someone say mimosas????Oh yes! Unlimited mimosas with fruits to garnish and if you're in the mood for a bloody mary then look no further, this venue has you covered. As you enter the venue you are greeted by a mimosa bar and super cute picture area. Two huge floors of different breakfast items from different restaurants. They had everything from potato pancakes at toojays to veggie omelets from omelet bar. The DJ was fun, they also had drummers that made it entertaining. I enjoyed the vendors selling their crafts. Love to buy from our local vendors. Overall, definitely will be back next year. Personally this event is better with a group of friends. So girls brunch it is next year!
Like so many others I enjoy a good brunch, so when I heard about this event I knew I needed to see what it was all about. After reading past reviews I knew we needed to arrive early and I was right. The line was already a good length when we got there about 30 minutes prior to opening the gates. Once the clock struck 11 we began to move up and receive our wrist bands so we could enter the event. In the courtyard the first of many bars was offering bloody Mary's and mimosas. There was also photo ops there as well. As you moved into the main entrance there was many vendors offering tasty bites as well as a VR gaming experience. One of my favorites off the bat was La Femme du Fromage and their delectable breakfast casserole with bacon jam. As we moved upstairs we were greeted by lines leading to Keke's waffle bar and Too Jay's and their potato pancakes. In the main room Dixie Dharma was offering up delicious Tofu Scrambled Tacos, while Maxine's was doling out their twist on Chicken and Waffles. Thank you Fox Tail coffee for offering an alcohol alternative for those of us that must abstain. We really enjoyed the different bands that performed as well. Overall we left full and satisfied. Keeping a look out for next year's event!
So much food! I'm so excited that I celebrated my birthday at UWB 2018 with my friends. There was a lot going on. Photo booths, drinks and food everywhere! I absolutely love the location, the Orchid Ballroom is huge. I didn't realize there was 3 areas full of food and vendors. Definitely worth the price of the tickets and I be going in Sept. I would say the only downfall to the event is seating and lines. I get it though, it's definitely not a sitting event. Multiple bar sections where you can get featured drinks, soda or water. Tip: when you enter don't go to the first bar. Go to the upstairs bar or back bad area. Less lines and more food. I'm so glad that the I discovered the back ballroom.
Another fabulous first (and my 100th review)!!! What a way to spend a Saturday afternoon...Gorgeous venue in the heart of Orlando...Great entertainment...Local vendors...Unlimited brunch tidbits...and...MIMOSAS!! I plan to attend next year, but will change 3 things. Bring a friend. Arrive earlier. VIP Upgrade. Thanks once again to Yelp Orlando for the fun experience.
Well well well, United We Brunch! That indeed is what we did! This is the first time I've ever been or heard of this place so I was glad to get a ticket in to explore. There was a lot of spots to get drinks which was AMAZING ! Run out no worries, just turn around and there's a bar ready to serve ! How perfect is that? Lol There were a lot of local places which I truly enjoyed. I was able to try things I wouldn't normally try on my own which of course makes it better because it's part of the package ! My absolute favorite was the waffles ! Ugh ! Amazing ! They were quick & the presentation for everyone was perfect ! If I could get a 2nd round I would have... but the line was crazy for the waffles... I think the only disappointment that I had was expecting just a few more vendors. I heard that last year had more vendors offering more options & food never ran out. This year food ran out which was unfortunate. But I can't say I was completely disappointed. I would personally would have arranged more vendors but also maintain the amount of bars that was serving drinks, simply due to the crowd coming through. The drink stands definitely made up for last years lack of availability to what I understood - lines were far too long - however just ensuring we have the right amount of vendors to eliminate the possibility of running out of food. Over all I enjoyed my time & mingling with everyone. The food was great, the pour up was on point & the vibes was great! Cheers to the next brunch !
I had so much fun at this Event!! Firstly and I cannot emphasis this enough - the VIP upgrade is so so so worth it!! And massive shout-out and thanks to Yelper Erin G, for making sure I got the VIP tickets and who I also had super fun hanging out at the event with. We took a top down approach, and headed straight to the ballroom and checked out the myriad offerings. My top foodie pics were the amazing sausage bites from The Ravenous Pig (I so need to go check out the restaurant now); the Chicken and Waffles (very clever - the "waffle" was an ice-cream cone from Maxine's On Shine and the Biscuits + Swamp "Gator" Gravy from Cafe Tutu Tango. There was also Peach Valley Cafe with an amazing coconut chia seeds dish plus lovely seafood options from K restaurant and Reel Fish. I also liked the thoughtfulness of some vendors (looking at you First Watch and Peach Valley Cafe) who had vegetarian option, although I would tell you that food option was definitely in the minority. It might however be a thought for the organizers to maybe have one year, where all the vendors are vegan/ vegetarian as there are so many fabulous veggies eateries in Orlando now. One other thing to note - I'm not a massive drinker, but I did see wherever there was a long line, it was attached to the drinks.. they really need to increase the number of bartenders! This is the first time going to United Way branch I think it's a great way to raise money for an organization the food was outstanding and the entertainment was great if you get an opportunity to do this you must.
This is one of my favorite events Orlando Weekly puts on. Always great restaurants I haven't tried and how can you go wrong with unlimited mimosas and bloody marys? Always get there early, before the event starts to get in line. I unfortunately was late this year. I got there about five minutes after it started, but it took 30 minutes to get through the line. The price seems to creep up every year. This year was no different. $43 with taxes and fees for early bird pricing and $72 for VIP which has an additional hour, their own area and a private bar. Honestly I am on the fence about the value for this. It seems like they are almost pricing people out. It was much less crowded this year than previous years which was a plus, but also noticeably less vendors. If I wasn't going to also spend time with friends, I wouldn't have said it was worth it. The lines for drinks are always a nightmare. I have gotten to expect this and have to wait for at least ten minutes for a flute of champagne. You might as well just get back in line. They are always understaffed. I feel so bad for the bartenders, having only one or two per bar for 300+ people. They only have one bar on the lower floor, one on the second floor and two others on the second floor in the large ballroom. The food is great and always varying types and kinds of brunch offerings. I tried an omelet, tacos, sausage on a stick wrapped in pancake, a meatloaf slider, and avocado toast. There were a few other things I didn't care for offered as well. Overall, a great way to try new restaurants and if you have friends to go with, a fun social activity. You'll have to bring your patience for the lines.
Thankful I got in through yelp! I had a great time at United we brunch. It was my first time. The line was long getting in but it went by fast. There was about 3 bars for alcohol and 3 booths for Bloody Mary and mimosa fixings. The lines were long too to get a drink at the bars. Food lines weren't bad. I feel like there were 15-18 different restaurants there. Biscuits with sausage gravy seemed to be popular amongst all the places. I really enjoyed the banana bread French toast from Lafayette's and the watermelon drink from hash house a go go. I wish there would've been more tables and garbage cans around. I had a blast overall. The orchid garden was the perfect location for the venue. I'd definitely want to attend United we brunch again in the future. Thanks yelp!!
What an excellent annual event!! We've been to the event a few times and this year I went solo cause the husband had to work. I parked in a nearby garage for a decent price. There was a line outside waiting to get in as I was about fifteen minutes early. Once the does opened the line moved super fast. They quickly scanned QR codes for the tickets and had two guards checking IDs for wrist bands. As soon as you walked in they had a step and repeat to take pictures with which was super fun! There was also a bar right there, which was handy! There were food and merch vendors in a variety of spots. Some were in the Orchid Room and others at Church Street Ballroom. The venue itself is gorgeous. I love all the glad window designs and the historic vibe of the buildings. The food vendors were all excellent. A few of my personal faves were Foxtail Coffee, La Femme de Frumage (I probably butchered that spelling??), and Dixie Dharma - that vegan taco was WHAT?? SO GOOD. Overall: A Great event with good execution. It grows each year so I'm looking forward to seeing what's to come! read more
Last year's I rated a marginal Four star. This year deserves four and a half easily. The issue I mentioned from last year regarding the bar situation was more than taken care of this year. There were more locations to get drinks, and some of them had low tables full of pre-made Mimosa's and Bloody Mary's that you could just walk by and grab. I was sad that Jimmy Hula's ran out of food before we got a chance to get over there, but the foods we did get to try were all outstanding, especially Kiki's Belgium Waffles. Those were definitely worth waiting in line for. Timber Creek was there handing out samples of many types of liquor all made right here in Florida. Their representative was full of information about each type, the Apple Pie flavored Rum was amazing!! Like last year, there was some great live entertainment. The group I was with had a blast dancing to Raspberry Pie. They're a groovy 70's themed band who played tons of familiar disco hits as well as original tunes. This was my first year at UWB, and I plan on being back next year! The variety of food was great, but what I really enjoyed was the ambience. The venue for the event at the Orchid Garden Ballroom was eclectic, but in a well dressed manner. One of the areas had live music and a dance floor, while the other had modern hits playing. The weather was superb, and so the outdoor area was also a hit. As far as food, there were numerous items I enjoyed, I especially liked the presentation of the caprese gazpacho from Cafe Moderne, and I surprisingly enjoyed the vegan taco which I wasn't expecting! I would've liked to see more food vendors, as several booths were set up that sold merchandise instead. Overall, I enjoyed it, and I'll be looking forward to UWB 2020! read more

Omg. Y'all. I had no idea what I've been missing out on. I am going to be first in line to this event every single year. We had VIP tickets. We had an hour early entrance to Sample allllllll the foods and drinks, A VIP Lounge, VIP bathrooms, and a souvenir glass when we left. They ran out of vip lanyard and badges but we had different colored wristbands than GA. Since we got there early, We were lucky to score a table right by the dance floor so We could enjoy all the live bands. The bands were great. I haven't boogied and danced this much in a long time. Loved the drummers "Junnk" and the funk band "raspberry pie" who you can find on Spotify. Loved every single food/drink item I sampled and I've bookmarked some New restaurants that I need to add into my dining rotation. Maxine's on the shrine had a yummy and fun offering of chicken w sausage gravy that was served in a waffle cone. Whaaaaat!?!! ABC was a sponsor and we had the booth behind our table that was making their mimosas with Prosecco and when that ran out they used tequila. Ooooooo laaaaawwwddd. We met some very cool people. We danced our tails off and overall had a grand ole time in a gorgeous venue. I am already looking forward to next year. read more
A tasty sampler of all that Orlando's best brunch destinations have to offer - hosted in a gorgeous, sprawling historic venue. It's massive. I filled up on dishes in one room and then realized there were, oh, two more rooms to go to. There were many treats to be had. Favorites included the pancakes with lemon curd and goat cheese from Canvas and the brisket nachos from Chela. Most fun presentation was a tie: Maxine's tasty waffle cones packed with chicken sausage balls, and the add-all-the-meats skewers Hammered Lamb provided for bloody mary fixins'. As a person who is more powered by coffee than alcohol, I switched my beverage of choice pretty early on and was thrilled that Foxtail was the vendor of choice for caffeinated goodness. Only one major recommendation I'd make: coordinate the vendor offerings so that there aren't too many duplicates of one dish. I love french toast and biscuits and gravy, but only need to try so many at a given event. (Title for best french toast goes to Seasons 52 and v. close runner up for Lafayettes.) Props to Yelp for the VIP ticket that got me through a much shorter line at the door (as well as for mimosa refills) and access to the relaxing outdoor lounge with games and inflatable toys. I missed out on mimosa pong though! Sadface. Next year? read more
This is my second year in a row attending, and I'm glad I came. The VIP ticket gets you in an hour earlier, which means you get access to mimosas and bloody marys before everyone else! Doesn't sound like a big deal, but after a few hours into the event, you'll be waiting 15-30min for a refill due to long lines. I love seeing my favorite restaurants as well as places I haven't seen before. Faves: - Ravenous Pig's Chicken waffle dogs - strawberry and chia yogurt from peachvalley - toogays steak and mash potatoes - first watch avocado toast (of course) - salmon carpachio from seasons 52 read more

This event was cool. Unlimited alcohol. And you get to try various restaurants. There was waffles, tres leches, vegan tacos, cupcakes, poke, chicken sausage in a ice cream cone etc. you have a lot of options and the lines vary you'll wait up to 10 minutes. It's packed for sure but a good time. It's $50 a ticket but to me feels like it should be $30 at most. read more

I've gone to this event in the past and I think this one was better. I felt like there we're more drink stations and far better entertainment! Some of the food stations did have long lines and ran out of food early, but I guess that's why they want you to buy VIP. Overall, I think it's a fun event and I would probably go back again. My biggest problem I think was that the champagne was Andre while the Vodka was Tito's. I think they could get a better champagne (maybe someone would sponsor like Tito's) other than that, totally worth it! read more
United We Brunch had so much to offer. It had a surplus of mimosas and Bloody Mary. My favorite food was the variety of cupcakes offered, as well as the waffles and French toast. The event takes place in a beautiful ballroom, where a retro band was playing. My boyfriend and I had a great time trying foods from different restaurants. We will want to come back to this event again. read more

I'm a few days late but i attended the United We Brunch Festival and it was a great experience! My friends and I enjoyed the variety of food samples and they had many options. From omelets to waffles and even poke bowls! They had mimosas, Bloody Mary's and champagne stations set up through out the venue. The venue was beautiful and big, so many tables set up with food options. I really enjoyed the coffee station as well to help balance everything between the mimosas and food, as well give me a little boost of energy from all the excitement. I got to try from places I've never had the chance of knowing. Some of my favorites I remember was Foxtail Coffee, Omelette Bar and as well as a cupcake business. Definitely looking forward to going again to the next festival, definitely worth it! I even got to try a waffle cone with chicken & gravy! Never had that before. read more

This was my first time attending United we Brunch! Thank you to Yelp for the free ticket to this event for being a Yelp Elite! The line was promptly moving at noon for general admission. There was a cute photo booth and planet fitness booth in the courtyard. There were multiple walk up bars upstairs and downstairs. We went to the bar on the left with a bartender pouring sunny mimosas, with beers and Bloody Mary. On the bottom floor there was @ Pizza with breakfast pizza, plus the Omelet bar, which was really good. We ventured upstairs for maxine on shine chicken and waffle masterpiece. It was very creative and enjoyed. Then we passed foxtail coffee with coldbrew samples and 20 percent off cards. In the ballroom was the main show with hash hash a go go kiwi watermelon lemonade drink. It was amazing when you get some tito from the bar to make a perfect drink. I enjoyed the pot roast and mash potatoes at toojays. The banana french toast was delicious at Lafayette! So many more options but these stood out the most! Definitely good brunch spots i plan to check out in the future! read more
