We were in a bind since the seller wanted the couch out ASAP. We found Team Arnett and sent them a photo of the couch. Within 1 minutes we got a quote. The Team showed up when they said they would, which was a huge plus. They showed up with a box truck so all the pieces fit and they had all the moving supplies. There are those companies that go above and beyond. Lincoln Avenue Cycling definitely went above…read moreand beyond for me. It's no secret that I'm a wheelchair user. It's also no secret that I do a lot of long-distance events. This past week, I did a 150-mile wheelchair ride for charity. As I wheeled into Rochester, Indiana I realized I'd gotten a flat tire because of the somewhat inconsistent surface along one part of the Nickel Plate Trail. Fortunately, I was at the end of my wheeling day and we began searching for a repair option. After a promising option fell through, we looked ahead to Goshen (my next city) and had Lincoln Avenue recommended to us. It's not uncommon for active wheelchair users to use bike shops for tire issues - while not every bike shop carries the right tires, it's generally accepted in the bike community. So, I had high hopes when I saw that Lincoln Avenue carried the Terra Trike (a recumbent bike). Lincoln Avenue absolutely delivered. They tend to prefer that wheelchair users contact them in advance to make sure they have the right parts, though they can also get them in a day or two when needed. I was fortunate that they had what I needed. We called in advance. We arrived. They worked on the wheelchair. They got me going and pretty much saved my charity ride or at least kept me from an undesired major delay. The staff was professional. The crew did the repair well and it held up for the rest of my ride and I was able to complete my event and return home safely. I always worry when I'm on the road in some of Indiana's smaller towns about a breakdown. It's great to know that there's an awesome bike shop like Lincoln Avenue in Northeastern Indiana. Goshen is a small college town and it's absolutely well-served by Lincoln Avenue. I was super happy and would easily return (hopefully for a non-emergency need!).
