Just one visit, and this has already become my most favorite post office!!! It beats all the Virginia Beach ones by far. This small little (older) post office is located on the corner of Atlantic Street and Plume Street downtown Norfolk. I had a package to mail off and said, let me knock this out real quick, (around 9am on a Wednesday.) I didn't get his name, but the older gentleman that helped me was just so very pleasant, helpful, and efficient. I could tell that the two folks of ahead of me were regulars, and were chit chatting with him like they were his friend. Talking about thanksgiving, stamps, etc. I mailed off a 12' x 16' inch canvas, and it was $7.50, and also bought a book of Holiday stamps for $11, for the few cards I'll send out. I told the gentleman, "This is my first time at this location!" And he said, "Well, welcome! I hope you come back!" I definitely will. Most positive USPS experience, ever!!! Short review because what can you really say about a post office, right? I come here during the work week whenever I need to mail something off or when I need to get stamps for those random bills that aren't available to be paid online. Speaking of, did you know stamps cost 55 cents now?? Sheesh! Anyway, it's a much smaller post office and they are never too busy. They have shorter hours of operation here and are open from 8:30am-2pm during the week. There is also a lobby area for PO boxes that are available with extended hours. Everyone dreads going to the post office, and I know they have a bad rep but at this particular location, I don't mind going here at all. I very rarely have to wait in line and Gordon who is regularly on staff during the day is just the friendliest person I've dealt with at the USPS. read more

Great Great customer service!!! This location was on the way to my destination. And I needed to mail off a bunch of packages cause I was on crunch time. Everyone that I have encountered at this location has alwaaaayys been friendly with a smile. I love coming here cause it's always in and out for me. The lines are never long like at some other Post Offices in the area. It's actually connected to another business. So I never really noticed it was a Post Office until I saw the sign on the building. Lol! Like they say it's kind of in the cut. So you really won't notice it's there. But it's my go to Post Office. I prefer coming here! read more

This is the BEST post office I have ever been to. It sounds dumb, I know. Think about it, when was the last time you had a positive experience with the US Postal Service? They only have one guy who works here, his name is Gordon. He is the most friendly, helpful, competent, and cheerful postal employee on the planet. He goes out of his way to help you which most postal workers wouldn't dream of doing. Because this location is so awesome, and there's only one worker, there is sometimes a line. I come to this post office location early in the A.M. If I have a package to send from an online sale or a quick letter in the mail. The employees here are always super helpful and go out of their way to assist me with getting what I need quickly. Great customer service at this location! read more

I don't know why they even have a phone number since they will not help you with anything it is a complete waste of time and their automated system does not work at all and if you have them call you back its automated and it does not respond in the way that it does even if you say something or press a number that I asked you to price for it to respond how It should I suggest that anybody that is prone to heart attacks strokes or anger do not call this number or even deal with the United States Post office, for your own health and peace of mind if I could get it if I could give it a negative rating I would definitely give it a very negative negative rating 0 negative 1 million stars and 5 lb of poo.
