Lines are very long, the self service part is usually out of order or has a million people waiting for it and there's one person working. Especially if the white haired lady has walked away and never come back. However, I called the post office today, hoping to leave a message or get some info and it was answered by a very nice man at almost 7 pm. I'd say this is a company hiring people for the tax break but that shouldn't apply to a post office so it really curious why they would hire people with such a low IQ in such an important roll. They tell you one thing then another happens so your like ok maybe second try, well that doesn't happen, then you try again for a 3rd delivery that doesn't happen. They just keep telling you it's this time this time you'll get your package. They sent a message saying you can pick up your package by 4:30pm at 6pm..... not even going to get started there. Clocks are hard to read I know. They can deliver normal mail but packages ooooo boy look out. If you count having to pick up your mail off the ground sometimes. Packages, Those are the hard ones. Totally understandable not being able to read some numbers and letters then match those numbers and letters to where they go. I to thought first grade matching was really hard so totally understandable. 4th try is a charm, maybe today the can match the 3 numbers of my house to the 3 numbers on my package. This is the worst post office I've ever dealt with. The supervisor is unapologetically incompetent…read moreand rude. When a carrier can't/won't deliver a package, they just scan it as some customer-caused issue, such as "No access" (my house didn't just disappear when she drove past!) or "Customer requested pick up at post office" instead of being responsible for their own lack of delivery. And if they lose your package and have done this, guess what! You can't win an insurance claim on it because of their bogus scans. They have been reported to USPS and the supervisor "coached" the carrier to "just deliver the packages." Then she told me that they "have" to use these bogus scan reasons, which is NOT what USPS said was correct when I made my complaints. So beware if you have any packages being sent to you-- if they just decide not to deliver them or lose them, they'll blame you and leave you no recourse so you're just out $$$$. And you may get a rude phone call from the supervisor to add as a cherry on top of the whole situation.
