Huge variety of noodles and pantry goods. If you're looking for an Asian sauce or dry ingredient, this would be a great spot. I always appreciate the deli in the center of the store, great food there. They also have baked goods from third party vendors. Didn't spot too many employees around. Cashiers weren't too friendly or even bothered to talk to us as we checked out, not even a hello. Two cashiers in fact, standing together but neither of them said anything or cared to make much of an effort. Shop was organized and appeared clean enough. Still worth a try. A pretty solid Asian grocery store with good selection of products. Sort of reminded me of the 168 Markets back home. Lots of frozen foods (dumplings, fish cake, tofu, ect.), large selection of sauces (I was looking for Yamasa shoyu and they had it!), veggies, a variety of instant noodles, spices, snacks, and drinks. United noodles is somewhere I have been going for the past 3-4 years. It has become really the only asian grocery store I go to. The inside isn't necessarily beautiful but it's a lot cleaner than most Asian grocery stores. As a child I went to almost every single one in Minnesota since my mother is Korean and enjoyed making different Asian dishes. United doesn't have that super funky fish smell that a lot of other Asian grocery stores do either. They have a pretty good variety of things and I can usually find what I'm looking for. I also enjoy their little gift shop! I think it has a good selection of cooking tools and cute fun gifts. I do wish their candy / snack section was a little larger but it's not too bad. I do enjoy their banh mis that they sell right when you walk in, it's a nice little treat! The staff is friendly and I never have to wait too long in the line! read more

I am in charge of egg rolls for a holiday get together and needed some Asian ingredients. The produce selection was slim pickings. I was surprised there were no Thai chili peppers. This is my go-to Asian grocery store whenever I need something quick. It's near my house and has it all from different countries all over east and south east Asia. Their only downside is that it's expensive in comparison to other Asian grocery stores in the area. I still come here as it's very clean, organized and easy to shop. I recently came back from Japan and Korea and was pleased to find some of the snacks from there. The Royal milk tea bag with little packets was $2 in Japan and $10 here, but I understand that importing products is pricey. It's good to know I can just stop here if I'm ever having a craving for one of those things, however I don't see myself shopping here for all my needs. Just selected special items. read more

Loving the expansion! The recent additions of all kinds of Asian gift items, ranging in prices and quality are awesome. I love that there are toys, plush toys, dinner ware, bento boxes! I love that I can find beauty products like shampoos and hair care and skin care items. Pharmaceutical items too! I don't feel a need to go to the next bigger city like Chicago for instance for my Asian shopping needs...since I can get many, many items here! This is my one stop shopping for fresh organic veggies as well.. all the vegetables come from local farms and re very fresh and you can tell it has been very carefully hand selected, and it's very, very low cost compared to the nearest co-ops like the Wedge or high-end grocery stores like Whole foods. My main place to grab my essential Asian grocery products or if I am looking for something on the more peculiar side. What I like about this locations is that there is a large variety of items to choose from with many different brands of the same product so you can do your research and pick the one you prefer. Many different countries are represented here. The produce and frozen section has some items that are extremely hard to find anywhere else in the Twin Cities so it is nice to be able to find all of my Asian food ingredients all in one place. Good selection of produce and veggies. You cannot skip their made to order food as well. They make a pretty good Bahn Mi that is great for a quick lunch or dinner to go. If you are in need of a some peculiar items or just want to become a little more cultured, United Noodles is a great place to stop and try. read more

It took me long enough to go to United Noodles after several recommendations to go. I was amazed! When we first walked in, we were greeted by the hot foods. I know it's limited currently due to COVID-19, but wow! Curry Katsu with rice - picked up one of those immediately. Spam musubi - I had no idea what it was but I needed it. It was delicious. Banh mi for $5.99!? It was fantastic. Also, I found those boba ice cream pops that I've been searching for. They live up to the hype. I grew up on the East Coast, so large Asian supermarkets were fairly common. While I would still categorize United Noodles as a grocery store, I was able to take a walk down memory lane and find many of snacks I had as a kid. The frozen aisles are spread out, but you can pretty much find everything you need, even if it is not super intuitive. The produce section is pretty awesome too. I picked up a bamboo steamer set - best purchase yet. I love that there is a home goods section. Not that I use cooking chopsticks, but I appreciated that there were a variety of cooking chopsticks available. read more

Food: I came here off of a recommendation and was pleasantly surprised by how busy it was on a Sunday late afternoon. We split the Char Sui appetizer and the Dramen. The Char Sui was soft, fatty meat cooked in a light BBQ type sauce. The Dramen was chock full of various different seasonings and flavors. The broth itself is the real star with the noodles not necessarily adding anything besides heft. The egg in the Dramen was absolutely delicious and flavorful. I used to live and work in Twin Cities about 20 years ago (as a chef) and would come here for two main reasons. 1. Best JAPANESE product selection in the area (outside of Chicago) 2. Pretty well stocked, and solid variety of other Asian products. Coming from states that had larger Asian demographic and stores (L.A., N.Y, Houston, etc.) there were obviously things I was spoiled by and that's understandable, like price, variety, fresh products, etc but I managed and what I couldn't get readily, I could usually order for myself through a purveyor at work (which most people can't) I recently returned to MN and have been scoping the new food markets and scene and pleased to see United Noodle still here in same spot but when I went in I immediately noticed the selections have diminished and the prices...........WOW, I mean WOW. I'm sorry UN, but your prices are out of control, I know with the pandemic, shipping and availability of products has gotten tougher and more expensive, but going to other large markets in St Paul, Burnsville, etc. and price comparing, you guys are way to high, and not worth me shopping there any more. I may have to go there for a Japanese item that I can't find somewhere else but with your diminished Japanese inventory, there really isn't much, I would hope they adjust these things soon, since everything is getting back to normal now and business that tried to use the pandemic as an excuse has worn thing on consumers and is no longer accepted! I did my grocery shopping there this week and it had an amazing selection of Asian groceries from all over Asia. I grew up going to H Mart and I think I actually liked this place even more. The staff were so friendly and even walked me to the fresh noodles when I couldn't find any. I will admit that it was very difficult for me to find certain products as many of the labels are not in English, but google translate will be your best friend if you are like me. I will definitely be going back and look forward to returning. I saw they had some hot food that I'll be trying next time for sure. read more

I ordered the spicy miso ramen, fried musubi, and my friend got the Tantanmen. The spicy miso was lackluster and overall disappointing, but I had some of the tantanmen and I almost swiped it from my friend (honestly would have if they let me haha!). We've been fans of United Noodles for several years. I have heard that United Noodles is the largest Asian grocery store in the Midwest That was several years ago and I feel they have only improved and expanded since. This includes a visit from DDD within the past couple of years. We first started coming to United Noodles for their Unideli. I love, love, love their char siu. I used to order it by the pound then go home and make some rice and being in my happy place. I've also been known to pick up some Lap Xuong and cook that up in a pot of rice. Oh so good! If you need anything Asian, you can probably find it at United Noodles. This day we needed a variety of items. They have so many selections of soy sauce, hoisin sauce, chili sauce, etc. Oh at that sausage I love, they have lots of varieties of tasty sausage. Noodles? Fresh, frozen, dried, they have oodles of noodles. There are plenty of frozen items and what I really like is the fresh market full of vegetables, meat and seafood. I wanted to shop here since I heard about United Noodles and finally went not long ago. I was very pleased! After eating some apps at Unideli, we began our shopping experience. I couldn't look at the whole store because we got way too excited about the sweets section...but we found everything we needed (and didn't). It's not as big of a place as other asian markets I've been to but their selection was amazing. This place is so clean and not smelly. Easy to navigate and the staff is nice. So many noodles, fresh or dried. So much mochi I had to limit myself to 3 boxes! Sweets that I can't find anywhere else...the list goes on and on. The best part? They just opened up another shop in Woodbury! Close to my work. Can't wait to check them out and continue visiting. read more

My review consists of 2 parts. One for the grocery store and one for the cafeteria. 1. Grocery store: Location: It is quite hard to find the first time around. They have enough parking, never had any issue. Food choice: They have mostly chinese, some japanese and korean goods. They have good selection sweets and cosmetic products. As for frozen food, mostly Chinese goods. I personally prefer Kim's oriental. 2. Cafeteria This cafeteria is inside the grocery store and doesn't have its own yelp business, so its review is mixed up with the review of the store. I stopped here for lunch and I'd recommend it to everyone. You order at the counter and they bring your food to your table. Service is pleasant and takes about 10 mins to get your food. This store is a bit of a hike from my house but it's about three times as large as the Asian food store closest to me. It's also a lot cleaner and brighter and has a huge vegetable section. This store has lots of canned goods, box goods, huge bags of rice. I have come with a list and found everything my list and then bought random bottles of sauce and use them and been quite pleased. This is the first Asian Grocery store I was able to find in the Twin Cities through recommendations. Just because this was my first Asian Grocery store does not mean it is the best in the city. It's a good place to find most and a good variety of Asian ingredients. United Noodles can be a bit pricey for most of their items but they do have random sales which helps the cost. United Noodles looks like a warehouse and warehouse type of area. There is typically enough parking but it will be busy when they do their special events. A big event that I would highlight from United Noodle is their Autumn Luau where they sell Hawaiian Lunch Plate and do performances. A fun perk that United Noodle does is the stamp card that can be used at both the grocery store and UniDeli. It kind of hard to fill as one stamp is 20 dollars and their is about 20 spots to fill. I would say come to United Noodle as they have most of your needs but know there are other places to go in the Twin Cities. read more

One of the cleanest & freshest Asian grocery stores I've been to. It's kind of hidden when driving in the dark, located right behind a seafood shop. There's plenty of parking. They have automatic doors - with Covid you won't have to worry about touching the handles to enter or exit. There is a sign for customers to wear a mask, the staff wear them too. Very organized! There are 6ft apart signs on the floor when walking up to the registers. Cashiers are also very kind. I have nothing more to say! read more

2 stars for the deli, 4 stars for the grocery Ordered the Dramen from Unideli, and it was awfully disappointing. Though the bowl is laden with chili oil, sesame oil, roasted sesame, peanuts, and shichimi pepper, once you get paste those immediate flavors you'll realize that the tonkotsu broth itself is actually thin and has zero porky flavor that it's supposed to have. What's also INCREDIBLY disappointing is how that chashu was a 1/3 piece of dry pork belly. I don't think I've ever gotten this little chashu from a bowl of ramen, especially one that's $14. Really annoying/infuriating. Noodles were overcooked. It's not all bad though: the ajitama egg was decently half-cooked and the menma was solid. Service was excellent--the staff was kind enough to wrap up my spam musubi. But way too many holes in this ramen, with the broth and the pitiful amount of chashu as the worst offenders. Inside grocery is excellent. I like the sale of onigiri, ready-made fried rice and yakisoba, as well as the youtiao in the bakery. Aisles are definitely old-school asian market. But that ramen...needs a lot of improvement. read more

I remember coming here 3 years ago and loving their ramen. It was simple, to the point and a quick great street style while i shopped there. I went back and was disappointed in the quality of the ramen. It was extremely oversalted and not good like i remember it. On the bright side, after the ramen i drank my daily quota of water. Their ramen used to rival good ramen houses around the twin cities. I know that their management changed and so did their food it seems. It was just different, it seemed much more commercialized and not authentic japanese anymore. Won't be going here for ramen again, and that just makes me sad. read more

Made a stop at the Unideli today while grocery shopping and I have nothing bad to say about the ramen I ordered. Rich and brothy and bursting with flavors. A little creamy too. The noodles are cooked perfectly. I am so full now. Lol. I almost couldn't finish my bowl of ramen. You get a huge portion. They also have other items on the menu such as takoyaki and garlic wings. I'll be back to try their takoyaki because I'm a huge fan of Takoyaki. The store itself is clean and presentable. If you are a major Korean ramen fan, then this is the store to go stock up on them. They have a huge selection of Korean ramen from spicy to non. They also carry other various Asian food selections. They also have a vegetable area and deli meat section where you can get pre sliced kbbq short ribs or pork belly. Overall experience is great! Their Maple Wood location runs a little smaller and does not have a deli section, but it also still contains most of the Asian grocery items you need. read more

Their ramens are always delicious- however, inconsistent with presentation and quality of their toppings. For the Ugly Delicious people out there it's perfect, for the millennial instagrammed hustling for those likes- 50/50 chance your Bowl ain't pretty, but damn good. 2. United noodle is great for that chilly day where you just want some ramen. Came here during our -10 weather in january and it was exactly what I needed. Got the vegetable bao which was just the right amount of doughy but crunch with the breaded tempeh. Sauce on it was great as well. Get ready to clear your sinuses with the vegetarian tantanmen! it was spicy too but not too spicy and would highly recommend. The noodles were also the perfect amount of doughy but not over cooked. the soy egg was great touch that i had not seen before in ramen. I agree with those who are saying the place changed. I don't know what happened but their selection has dropped and, especially for Japanese items, become extremely lacking. Minneapolis is never going to be LA when it comes to specialty markets (e.g just Japanese) and United Noodles was the better option of lackluster choices. Now they've jumped the shark. I've been two times in the last 2 months and left more than disappointed--I've been left surprised. I can understand why they closed the popular cafe in the pandemic, but the rest of the store is inexplicable. Of the things I could find... I was about to buy some noodles packs and wisely checked the side: expired a week later (I'm not eating that many noodles on a week, haha). It was just another sign of a bigger problem: the entire store seems to have lost its way and is coasting on a pre-pandemic reputation that is in no way met by the current iteration. Great Asian store! Absolutely love coming here. They always have nice fresh vegetables and herbs, exotic fruit. Also, they sell chicken feet here which are hard to find at other stores. I use chicken feet to make nice and gelatinous broth. So much better than store bought. Their cabbage is better than the regular cabbage too. I love making cabbage soup with beets. They have nice coconut milk variety, grains, sweets and even a restaurant in the store. Some employees don't speak English but the ones that do offer excellent help. One thing to watch out for is expired produce. A few times, I got produce that was next day or that day expiration date. read more

I'm always in search of the best Asian grocery store in the TC area...and this might be it! UN is located in a hidden backroad (kinda, sorta), but it's so worth navigating through the twists and turns. It's a pretty big place! It even has it's own mini-restaurant in there - I'll need to try it one of these days. I've heard super great things about it :) For snacks and sauces, hang a right. For fresh veggies and produce, hang a left. Dumplings and buns are towards the back of the place on the left - another of on my favorite sections. The snack selection is pretty good! I'm able to find the snacks I had as a kid here for decent prices. There are some snacks and drinks that UN doesn't have, so I'll be sure to find a back-up Asian grocery to find those at. But UN is definitely your place for authentic, reasonably priced groceries! read more
