UMAC is an absolutely wonderful organization! I enrolled my child in the Little Dragons Taekwondo program to enforce not only what he was learning in kindergarten but, more importantly, what he wasn't learning in his first year at a K-12 school. My son needed a system of principles to use as his toolkit in dealing with everyday school life and expectations. He was feeling overwhelmed by class activities that weren't necessarily to his liking and dealing with feelings of not having enough playtime and movement throughout the day, especially as an energetic little boy in a small classroom. Equally important, we wanted our child to learn self-defense so he could learn the skills of leadership and denounce the behavior of future bullies he may encounter. Master Danielle and her team have been important advocates in this process, from reaching out to teachers as important and resourceful support personnel to developing strategies that work individually with my child to meet his needs with clear goals and expectations. As a parent, you can always consult with Master Danielle for a progress follow-up and expect a prompt response with the utmost care and concern. She has worked extensively with many children from all different backgrounds and educational needs and has a talent for compassionately observing and identifying both strengths and weaknesses to create her own plan of improvement. UMAC also has a school pickup program, and this is a fantastic option for parents, working or stay-at-home with other little ones, who are seeking additional support for after-school care or a schedule that organizes their child's time effectively while prioritizing both school and martial arts learning. Parents and children will become like a family of their own, and the excitement when everyone sees one another for instruction is heartwarming! There is no judgment at UMAC as parents are all there for the same reasons: we want our children to grow and develop into the best versions of themselves that we know they can be, and this is accomplished by instilling strong values from a dynamic and reputable martial arts center with experience and longevity on its resume! Martial Arts training is only as effective as the trainer. Master Ed at UMAC Goshen (Soon to be UMAC Middletown) excels at his ability in Martial Arts, but equally excels in sharing that ability with his students. We tried a number of Martial Arts Schools over the years and my painfully shy son needed an instructor that could teach well, but also pick up on his personality and needs. After he attended a birthday in October 2017, I signed him up. He didn't go willingly the first day, but I knew by his reaction to the party that it would be a great thing for him. I was right. Since October my son has learned to feel good about himself, to find confidence and strength in what he is capable of and to feel proud about his accomplishments. Having an instructor that accepts, relates to and understands each child's varied abilities, strengths and personalities means everything. Martial Arts isn't just about building strength to effectively kick and punch, it's about building the kids up on the inside as well. The kids respect Master Ed and he respects them as well. We couldn't be more thrilled with UMAC and all they are able to teach! read more

I have to call this family of martial arts masters the Incredibles. I've watched them consistently grow in knowledge, skill level, teaching ability and love for the members of their school. They are always looking for better ways to improve their members lives and experience at their school. But the best proof of their amazing super powers are the incredible joy in the member's heart and eyes, the fanominal strength and transformation that takes place there, the extraordinary level of high character they produce in the children. This family and school is definitely incredible. A great place to come to for developing your child's or your own super powers. read more

We enrolled our son in the Dragon's class at the Warwick UMAC after a friend mentioned that her son was enjoying the classes. We have been very pleased with the instructors and the structure of the class. Our son has really enjoyed it and has been engaged from the very first class. The instructors are friendly and take a genuine interest in the children which makes it easy for them to want to join in and do well. It has been fun to see him progress with each class he takes and he is excited to learn new things. We also appreciate that he is learning some structure and disciple along the way. read more

My six year old son LOVES coming here. He is very energetic, and he has so much fun during class. The instructors are so incredibly kind and patient with him. The values that they teach and go over every class are so important to instill in a child. We were introduced to UMAC through a birthday party, and the look of pride that my son had when he broke that first board was all I needed to see to know that this was the place for us. I'm truly so happy we found UMAC, and I look forward to seeing all of the amazing things my son is going to learn on his journey here! read more

My oldest son previously attended camp at UMAC and now takes martial arts classes 2x/week. I wanted to train with him, so I enrolled and have been taking classes for the past month as well. All of the instructors are excellent! Master Danielle and her staff are incredible at teaching children - they make learning FUN and engaging. Being a beginner myself, I can see how good they are at explaining things that might otherwise be frustrating for a child. My youngest son is already asking to start training, so we are slowly becoming a UMAC family! Thank you! read more

United Martial Arts Center is an awesome place to connect with your inner you! The martial arts training is combined with meditation and stretching exercises that help develop the mind as much as the body. I have been training there for about a year and a half. I have lost over 70 pounds and an steadily regaining muscle strength. I look forward to training after work each day more than anything else. I have established really great friendships with people who have common goals with their training. This has been the best lifestyle change I have ever made. read more

United Martial Arts Center is much more than a place to learn martial arts. UMAC is family oriented and the instructors are great. My daughter has been going to UMAC after care for over three years, where they have teachers to assist with the homework, and the after school program for the kids is excellent. I have been going for over 2 years and it is the best decision I made. read more
