He was accommodating, kind, and incredibly responsive. I was looking for a local print shop to do some custom t-shirts for my company. I had existing designs that I wanted to appear on the shirts exactly as they were. I called UCP and Brian invited me to come in and take a look at some of their work as well as t-shirt samples, so I could get a feel for the sizes/materials/print quality. Allow me a brief but relevant tangent here. It has taken me hours of research and numerous conversations with printers to learn that the super smooth, deeply imprinted designs you see on shirts in retail stores is only achieved through digital or DTG (direct to garment) printing. This method is not cost effective for the size of my print jobs (100-200 pieces) and pretty much seems to double the price per shirt in most situations. Screenprinting, which deposits ink onto surface of the fabric, is much more common and affordable for the smaller jobs like mine because it uses a stencil that can be re-used for the entire batch.** Anyway. I've lost track of the exact terminology, but basically Brian helped me achieve a print that is as sharp and detailed as possible. Other shirts I've had printed in the past have that kind of rough pebbly texture on the inked areas, but the UCP shirts are super smooth. The turnaround time was really fast and the shirts look awesome. Spoke with Brian via email last week about getting two tees printed. He quoted me $15 for two tees. Monday I went in to drop the tees off. Shortly after I receive an invoice for $32. Apparently Brian misquoted me. He meant each tee would be $15. Which I fine to be ridiculously over priced. After going back and forth with him he honored the $15 he had originally quoted me. I was previously with a different print shop in LA, but things were not working out to well there so I pulled the plug on that before I even really did any business with them. BUT thats not the point of this review. George and the team over at United Custom Prints is a dream team like you couldn't even imagine. Hello Fellow Yelpers, I absolutely recommend to come to Steve for any prints that you need. He did an amazing screen printed tank for my friend. Last minute I needed a customized tank top and he got it done. The bride wanted one from Etsy and I knew shipping would take a long time and I was not sure how the quality of the tank was going to be. So, I called around and people told me I would have to add on a rush fee, which would be a tremendous amount (one person mentioned $70!). Luckily, I found Steve's shop on Yelp. I called him and he said that he could make it no problem and on time for when we had to leave for the bachelorette party in Palm Springs. He did not add a rush fee and did a beyond amazing job on the shirt. He even showed me more than one glitter screen printing material just in case I would prefer a less yellow gold, and I did! Quick! Professional! Priced Well! This review is a little overdue but that's because I wanted to make sure everyone in our group loved their shirts. Initially I was going to go with a very popular store located in south county for our group shirts. We were going on a group vacation and needed shirts for both adults and children with a design on the front. Well, this particular store could not get my order in time as they did not have the machinery on-site to logo the children's shirt and it would take another week to get it done.
