Poor service received from beginning to end of tenancy - very clear that landlords are valued…read morehigher than tenants at Northwood. Moved into a dirty flat, with multiple issues that took literally months to resolve, despite constant chasing- issues including furniture that didn't conform to fire regulations being stored in my spare room for weeks, before being located to my shed without my consent, broken shower, broken buzzer, broken blinds, heating breaking down twice, greasy and dirty furnishings throughout. The flat was handed back at end of, 6 month tenancy, about ten times cleaner than when I moved in, with new toilet seat (did I mention the original was broken, and being held on with sellotape?), New coat hooks (old ones crumbling out of wall), new net curtains with pole and a kitchen free from the inch of grease from when I moved in. Despite this I was charged £54 for a cleaning, with a cheeky £30 admin fee added on for my troubles. I requested a copy of the invoice for the cleaning 17 days ago, and have not yet received it, despite emails, visiting northwood, and phoning twice to speak to management, who did not return my call. Very disappointed at the lack of support given to tenants by this company, and I will not be recommending to anyone. Watch out for unlawful charges and a lack of integrity.

Useless, incompetent, rude staff who (I presume) take their attitude from the Managing Director…read morehimself. They will try and wriggle out of any damages caused by tenants and don't do proper tenant reference checks either. Don't take the chance with them some people APPEAR to have a good service from them (check other websites there are more negative reviews there, with people suspecting that the positive reviews come from the staff themselves), but is it worth the risk of you being treated terribly by them I certainly won't take the risk again and am more than happy with the service provided by my new Letting Agency.

The staff were professional and helpful, the property had been well maintained and the rent was not extortionate. We did not encounter any hidden fees and the staff were very accommodating to our circumstances.

Especially this one…read more From a landlord's point of view, I'd set up my own company rather than deal with this bunch of idiots ever again. I was assured that all tenants were properly vetted and had references. My property is fairly new and extremely well maintained. The family that was put into my property damaged furniture and fixtures, and painted the rooms against my wishes. They covered up the damage on inspection, but after they had vacated the property, didn't bother attempting to clean at all, leaving me with a cleaning bill, a decorator's bill, and damages. That was nearly six months ago, and I'm still waiting for compensation from Bain. The idiot, Bain, even had the cheek to say that he had another family waiting to go in at a higher price!! Don't go near this bunch.
