Easy going is the word! Set well outside the city bounds, UniSA's Magill campus feels (and looks) like a pretty country university.
The Magill campus is about a 30 minute bus ride out of the city, which was a killer for me when I was studying here. The travel was quite a lot to do on a daily basis, and once you are out on campus, there isn't much to do around the general area.
The campus is set in the lovely foothills and quite scenic really. That said, there's no real buzz here even at peak times, just plenty of grass, trees, parks and a creek...not much by way of campus culture. Dotted around are the campus buildings, which range from traditional to more modern, including a pretty decent campus library and plenty of space to chill outside with your laptop before tutes.
It's all very unassuming, you could hardly imagine a uni protest happening out here! The downside of it is that it doesn't promote an active campus life.
That said, I had a great time studying nonetheless, with smaller, more focused tute groups and some really great lecturers and fellow students to make it worthwhile. read more
