Brilliant hair dressers. Smallish but very friendly staff, who made the experience most enjoyable. Mum and i arent very girly at the hair dressers weekly type ladies, but we decided to go and get hair 'make overs' done, and try Unique for the first time. I had foils done. My hair is very, very thick and took the staff ages to do and lots of products etc, despite this they never once moaned to us, they made us a drink, and provided great friendly and funny conversation the whole time. Plus despite us being there for hours they never rushed the end result and put lots of effort into making it as perfect as possible. Loved my new 'do' afterwards and will be back again soon. Prices are very reasonable too! Cant fault them. read more

I usually go as often as I can afford it. Ask to make an appointment with Karen and when you go in say Daniel from Dundonald Ballybeen sent you, I was reading his review if you tell her he gets a blowdry on a Thursday at ten to one she will know who you are talking about. I can talk and joke with her like a friend I have known for years. Based on overall experience I give Karen and Hair Emporium 5 stars.

When I can afford it I have a blow dry or cut as the need arises once a week on a Thursday. Ask to make an appointment with Karen and say Daniel from Dundonald Ballybeen sent you and say you were reading my review. She will know you are refering to me if you say he normally has a blow dry every thursday at ten to one in the afternoon. She makes me feel very welcome and I can talk and joke with her like a friend I have known for years. Based on the whole experience I give Karen 5 stars.

Well, I say meet her, a lot of the time I just sat and checked out the hot girls who worked there. As a teenager this was a revelation when all you were used to seeing when you got your hair cut was men who you had a sense felt they had maybe taken the wrong turn in life. Anyway, I digress. This is one of Bangor's best established and well thought of hairdressers with a real reputation for excellent service and quality work. The only problem is that you have to pay for this and this was the reason my sister stopped going here. But when she did she says she never got a bad haircut. In Bangor you really can't go wrong with Jacqui Bothwell Hair in Church Street, its the best hair cut at the best price. Unbeatable.
