I have been searching for a nail salon I love in Cookeville for over a year and finally decided to give this place a shot because of the good ratings and oh did they deliver!! Joanna is their dip specialist and she is a nail artist sent from heaven. I spent around 3.5-4 hours there, but it was worth every minute. She is a perfectionist who will not leave a single nail with a flaw. I came in with the worst nails: bitten, jagged, overgrown and frayed cuticles. I left with gorgeous fall/Thanksgiving themed nails. She is friendly and makes every minute you are there amazing. I will absolutely be going to Joanna for all my dip polish needs as long as I love in Cookeville. I highly recommend her! And I got all that for just 35 dollars (not including the tip I left her)!! The service I received regarding scheduling and the follow up call to see how I enjoyed my pedicure were wonderful, but did not surpass the phenomenal care and attention given to me by Chris. Referrals and great ratings are well earned. From the moment we made our reservation (which was a week in advance) to our arrival, we were treated incredibly well. My husband, son (12) and I drove from Crossville to Cookeville for pedicures (+ manicure for my son's gorilla nails). The spa chairs have a massager for not only your back, but your bootie. LOVEEE the bootie massage. My son and husband had Angela work on their nails. GREAT JOB ANGELA! my son is a prolific complainer if a pedicure is done even slightly wrong. (Yes, I know, my son is spoiled, I own it!) He was impressed. My husband truly enjoyed his pedicure. I had Chris work on my pedicure. WOW! I unfortunately have ingrown toe nails. At all prior nail salons with the exception of 1 (and I have been to more than I can count in over 30 years) all have left my ingrown nails half in, and hurting so badly they have to stop. I usually have to wait until the blood stops or the swelling goes down before I can have someone else attempt it, and always, it was a 2-5 minute ordeal. I have a high pain threshold, but not that high. Chris literally had it out in seconds. I didn't even have a chance to say "what the hell"... that alone is worth the trip. Also, there is the pedicure massage, and then there is the "Chris", damn! unlike any pedicure massage I've ever had. My muscles are almost always tight (I think part of it has to do with the fact that I am a diabetic) and he was able to relax them. That is no easy feet for me. (Yes, I know I spelled feat wrong). Hands down, going back again. Next time, I will throw in manicures for me and husband and not just my son. I saw the airbrush examples of Chris' nail artwork, and it is impressive! Obviously artwork like that will take time, so schedule accordingly. My opinion, GO! We will be. (Chris, I'll have to take a closer look at your hands ;)) read more

I went there for the first time today, to get my solar gel nails filled. The last place I got them done did a pretty terrible job, so they were in bad shape. Instead of the standard $28 for a gel fill, they told me it would be $33 because they needed to redo several nails (and do a lot of work on the majority of the rest). It was understandable, as they were in pretty rough shape. Anyway, Leon was friendly and professional. Did a great job, though he did have a tendency to hold the dremmel a little too long and make it really hot on my nail, but other than that, a very good job. They look gorgeous too, the best looking solar job I've gotten in middle Tennessee (I've gone to places in McMinnville, Manchester, and Murfreesboro). Definitely worth the drive. The nail techs are all Asian (I apologize for not being more precise, they may have been Vietnamese or Phillipino, I'm not sure, again my apologies), but there was no language barrier at all. They also employ several late teen/early 20's caucasian girls, one of whom appeared to be hearing impaired, and I thought it was a refreshing mix of culture and age. They joked with each other as well as the customers and I felt very at home and comfortable. I got there at 6 and didn't leave until 7:10 (they close at 7), and never felt rushed or like I was an inconvenience to them. Not very many employers would hire someone with a hearing disability, and while I have no idea what the story is, it was a very unique setting and enjoyable evening. I'll start with Grace, the receptionist aka as mom. She is so sweet and carries on great conversation. I love Jason and his therapeutic pedis. He has great technique and is very hygienic. As a nurse this is something I look for in every business I go to. Thank you for being my go to for my pedis. Was looking for a nail place to get a pedicure. I have not been to any of the salons in Cookeville before and seen that this place had the best rating. No sure why that is. Staff super friendly and make great conversation but for what they are charging is a rip off. The last pedicure I got was over a year ago in a small salon in Walmart. There they gave me the works and only charge me $20. I assumed that with paying almost $30 i would get the works and then some but no. I was really looking forward to the scrubs that most places use on you feet and legs to get the dead skin off and then the hot towels. Nope all I got was my toe nails filed down and some cheap coco butter lotion rubbed on my legs. The equipment is also very old. My chairs remote had a short in the wiring and took the first 5 minutes to get it to work just so I could adjust my chair. Most of the cushion was worn down to where the massage feature hurt and the pleather was peeling off. read more
