She was told is about the surrounding area and showed us picture of fish her son caught( who I believe owns the store with his wife) it was a great show of hospitality. I guess The Purser's Chest would be a weird name for a restaurant. We walked in on the street side and it immediately looked like a small town furniture store but old school. Don't get me wrong, I fell in love with a couple of Settes that I thought I had to have, but for the most part, it looked like some things my grandparents would really like. Towards the back were some more upscale antique items, some french lamps, chest of drawers with hand engraving on the side, very nice items. I purchased a tray to sit summer cocktails on when we are hanging on our back screened in porch. I am not an antique expert but lots of the items were very pricey. There was a loveseat I fell in love with that had a clearance sign but upon inspection, clearance was $4000.
