Unfortunately after a few weeks of going in and learning that my chain was not ready, they texted me to say that they lost my chain but I could go in and choose another one. My heart was broken but Hannah was really patient and helpful in finding a similar chain and I chose (and paid) for a pendant to go along with it. A couple weeks later I moved to another city when I got a text that they found my chain, so drove the 4 hours round-trip to pick it up. They did a good job, were still friendly and waived the $25 mending fee. Things happen but customer service makes all the difference! I'm thrilled to have had a happy ending by being reunited with my gold chain.

The only issue was that it was slightly too long for my liking. So they offered to add a hoop chain at the length I wanted so I didn't have to get rid of the rest of the gold. They did this at no extra charge, going above and beyond. Because of the interactions I had with the lovely employees and owner I decided to take a leap of faith and leave a family heirloom my grandmothers engagement ring she gave to me. Unfortunately it was missing a diamond whe it was gifted to me and needed repair. When I came back to Simmons to pick up my chain and ring both pieces looked amazing and were exactly what I wanted. I was so happy with the result I left some more pieces. 2 rings that needed resizing, a broken chain that needed repairing, and a gold bracelet that needed a couple links removed. I came back about a week later and once again everything looks amazing!!!!! I cannot express how amazing and personable the employees of this shop are. They made me feel so comfortable during the entire process of leaving my family heirlooms to get a bit of a make over. Went here to get watch links removed and came back to have the battery replaced in a new Citizen…read morewatch. The second time, I received the watch back with deep scratches on the underside corners (lugs) and a sharp point. I returned to speak to the individuals there (John and Sheila), and they denied causing the damage to the watch and tried to explain away the process, claiming they did not manipulate that area of the watch. John offered to polish the scratches, but since they are deep, they are still present on the watch. Being that the watch was new (kept in the box) and did not have these damages beforehand, I can only attribute these damages to their handling. I do not recommend bringing jewelry here for even minor repairs.

Bay Hill did an incredible job making the ring, with a low profile but still high enough to put another band next to it. They were also helpful with styling and suggesting to not put diamonds on the back of the band. Bay Hill will also clean your ring whenever you come by to visit. Service is really nice, they aren't pushy and they offer free drinks while you're in the store. They are closed on Sunday/Monday, so keep that in mind before visiting.

I recently popped in to get a watch battery replaced and seek help with another watch whose crown was stuck in the locked position, preventing the updating of time or dates. Ehm. The staff was very nice, greeted me promptly and my watches were assessed, battery quickly changed in the back while I waited with the gal up front who was checking out my other watch. I was informed the crown getting stuck was a common problem with my particular watch model and she had it quickly unstuck and the time and date updated in a matter of minutes, with no charge. I left with my two watches polished and working, in no time flat. What a great experience, I'll be back!

We didn't agree on a price we tentatively negotiated towards a price that we could agree on, but I told him I'd come back with cash and we would talk further.. After lunch, I came back with the cash and offered a little bit under what the initial price we talked about was. The owner went into a temper tantrum, started packing everything up and yelling about me playing a game with him. Mind you I was not lowballing him a lot less than what we had already talked about only $500 on a multi thousand dollar watch. I would have purchased a watch at that price, all he had to do was be respectful and say "no I can't do that price" and I would've bought it and I would've walked out with the watch and we would be on great terms, and this would be a positive review. Instead, he decided to freak out, be disrespectful towards me, make exaggerated claims and borderline start yelling at me If this is the customer service, you're going to receive when you're potentially purchasing an item at multi thousands of dollars, imagine the customer service he'd receive if there was an actual problem with the item down the line His reaction was completely unnecessary, unexpected, and a deterrent for any potential future customer. My best advice is to learn to improve your soft skills, and your approach with customers. At the end of the day you are selling things, people are going to request to purchase them for lower than what you have listed, if this is something that is going to trigger you then maybe this isn't the job you should be in

Over the years, we have continued to visit the team at Goldsmith for all of our jewelry needs. Recently, I brought in a piece of heirloom jewelry and a few other random pieces that had been sitting in a safe for years. It held a lot of sentimental value, but was dated and not my style. I decided to reimagine the old jewelry into a few custom pieces I'd actually want to wear every day. I met with Danny to talk about my ideas. He always makes me feel at ease and understands what I am envisioning, giving suggestions and asking lots of questions, guiding me to the perfect piece. He called, texted and kept in regular communication on the status of the jewelry. We settled on transforming the pieces into a necklace and 3 rings. Their in house designer created digital images with ideas and we went back-and-forth a few times until we had the perfect designs for me. I was also shown a 3-D printed mold so that I can feel the rings and see what they would look like exactly. The pieces came out more perfect than I could have imagined and I couldn't be happier.
