But... the experience here was beyond comfortable! What great staff. Celeste was super kind at the counter and explained what to do and how to weigh and all those good things. Then I went to the yard to search for my 4 rocks! Immediately the machine operator asked if I needed help.... he gave me tape to mark the rocks I wanted as I moved along. Then another fella (sorry I forgot his name!) jumped in to help guide me to all the places I could go for searching. He was super helpful and offered some great advice so that we could buy our rocks even bigger! It seems obvious now... but it was a great tip as I was going forward what me and hubby could lift. He said well if you can back up tot he spot, you really just need to shimmy it, push off and then shimmy into place. Worked perfect! Loading was quick. Prices were fair and I have lots of info for future rock projects. Thanks to you all at Rock AZ! I look forward to seeing ya for more in 2021!

This was a new location for us, and after parking and figuring out where to go, a male employee outside directed us to the sample rocks. We found what we needed in under five minutes. When we walked into the trailer to pay at approximately 1:58, we were met with an extremely unwelcoming attitude. There were four employees inside, and not one acknowledged us. A blonde woman behind the counter looked up and abruptly said, "We are closed," in a very dismissive manner. ( Sadly, I didn't catch her name but she was blonde and sounded like she's smoked one too many cigarettes ). I completely understand wanting to leave on time, but the delivery was unnecessarily rude. A simple, polite explanation would have gone a long way. We were purchasing five rip rap rocks, not placing a large or time-consuming order. What makes this more frustrating is that the employee outside who directed us never mentioned that they were closing in 10 minutes, which would have allowed us to respect their time. We are repeat customers, but unfortunately this is not the first time the front desk staff has been unhelpful or unfriendly. Customer service matters, and based on our experiences, I would not recommend this business. Honestly, you're better off walking around in the desert to find some free rocks rather than deal with this place. And that's what we did!

Recently, I went to several landscape suppliers looking for decretive gravel for my yard (MDI,…read morePioneer, We Rock AZ). All of the companies would barley speak to me. I think this was because I was not a contractor. My last stop was Ewing Landscape Materials. I walked in the door and was actually greeted and asked if I needed any help. Richard Goolsby pointed me to the different types of gravel and gave me some sample bags so I could take gravel home to see how it would look in my yard. Ewing was very price competitive, actually a few dollars lower than the others, but I must say, if they were a bit higher price I would have still bought from them due to the high level of service I received. Subcontractors were pretty good but this company is so unorganized and refused to talked to us. Owner will talk down to you, thinking he knows everything, brought my wife to tears more than once. He will contact you non-stop when payment is due though. I would never use or recommend this company. Even if they were to do work for free I would not use them. Owner calls himself godly and principled, but he will make nothing about your remodel enjoyable. Do yourself a favor and look anywhere else

So, I needed to grab tile elsewhere last minute for the contractor to stay on date. Yet, that is not why there is a two star review. It's because they have kept our money without a refund for well over a month! I keep having to email and call and still no movement. When this happened at other tile companies for the same project, they refunded the money the very same day. Something to keep in mind if you choose to use them.
