    Bugbee's DJ Plus

We used Bugbee's DJ Plus for our wedding at the Venue CU in December. Brian was assigned as our DJ,…read moreand we were so lucky! Brian made sure to meet with my husband and I ahead of the day to sort through wedding day details. Additionally, he made sure to check in throughout the reception to see if there was anything that should be changed or if we were liking how things were going. He was extremely attentive, energetic, and helped us and our guests have a great time. Highly recommend for your events!! Thanks, Brian!

Our experience with Bugbee's DJ Plus was deeply disappointing, and I would not recommend them based…read moreon our wedding. Despite having multiple meetings and providing a detailed timeline, music list, and phonetic name pronunciations, several key things went wrong. The wrong song was played during the bridesmaids' walk down the aisle -- a moment we had clearly outlined and discussed more than once. The maid of honor's name was mispronounced during introductions, even though it had just been reviewed and was written out phonetically. Later, when my dress wouldn't bustle right before our first dance (scheduled for 8:15 -- still well within our contracted time until 11), the DJ stood nearby repeatedly asking, "How long will this take?" staring at me in a way that felt uncomfortable and unnecessarily pressuring, during what was already a stressful moment. While the songs we had requested were played during the cocktail hour and dancing, there was little to no crowd engagement, and the dance floor stayed mostly empty. It didn't feel like any effort was made to read the room or adjust. What truly pushed this over the edge was the complete lack of professionalism after the fact. I emailed the company -- addressing these issues in a calm, respectful way -- and never received so much as a reply or apology. For a company that claims to be experienced and professional, that kind of silence is unacceptable. Weddings are high-stakes, once-in-a-lifetime events. I expected better -- both in preparation and execution, and especially in follow-up. I would strongly caution others before booking with them.

Dj King - Needing a police escort because he supposedly "felt unsafe" after ending his DJ set early because a guest touched his equipment

Larry DJ'd a wedding last night that I attended and he has left each and every guest including the…read morehotel staff with a very sour taste in our mouths. I'll start by reviewing his DJ skills. He's terrible. If you enjoy songs from the 80s/90s only then by all means book him. He did manage to play Despacito once which I guess he considers a more recent song. he also doesn't take any requests so if you want to kindly request he plays more modern music he says he can't because the playlist was premade. He's not a DJ he's a person with equipment capable of hitting play on a Spotify playlist. Now to the juicy part of the review. As the night was coming to a close, we had about an hour left and some guests had left and the liquor in peoples stomach had started to settle and we all were in the mood to dance, the drama started. An inebriated guest went to grab the mic because he wanted to say a couple congratulatory words to the bride and groom. Larry immediately got pissed and told this guy not to touch his equipment. The guest tried again and this is where Larry snapped. The guest and Larry exchanged some words which ended with Larry getting on the mic and announcing to the remaining guests that he was shutting the party down because no one touches his equipment but him. He actually stopped the music and began packing up his equipment WHILE THE RECEPTION WAS STILL GOING ON! This caused a whole set of new Drama as the grooms family rushed to the DJ table to try and get him to continue playing. After-all the DJ was contracted and he should have played his whole set. After some back and forth, Larry decided there were too many Vietnamese people around him, he felt uncomfortable and ACTUALLY CALLED THE COPS saying he felt unsafe and needed an escort. So we all stood there in silence watching him pack his equipment up with about 5 cops in total surrounding them because of how "unsafe the environment was". I was there, no fight broke out, there were no issues at all until Larry created one. He might be inclined to be cautious because of preconditioned thoughts regarding races of people that aren't Caucasian but what do I know. These people were kind and were having a great time and did not deserve to have their wedding reception ruined because someone grabbed a mic. If you want to have a good event, don't book him period. Go with someone else! I would hate for what happened here to happen to another bride or groom.

I had attended a wedding event a few weeks ago with this DJ being there and let me tell you, he was…read morebyfar the worst DJ I have ever seen at any wedding event. He left a sour taste on the whole wedding party including the hotel staff working the wedding event who stated "He did not follow protocol." When asked to play music he stated that he was set on his music and didn't want to play any new music. He said he had already made a playlist. First of all as a DJ you cater to your wedding and if the bride or groom request something you make their day and do what you can to go above and beyond. I have attended many weddings and DJing isn't playing a whole song fully, its mixing music and cutting songs in the middle. He was a very LAZY DJ and played full songs one after another. Towards the end of the night a family member wanted to take the microphone to congratulate the bride and groom and he got so angry, took the microphone and said the party is over and he was leaving. Yes people were drunk, but I'm sorry your a DJ at a wedding and should be prepared for drunk people. Anyways he started arguing with people from the wedding party and said he was done for the night even though he was paid in Full! Ridiculous! Then his daughter proceeds to call the cops instead of speaking with the hotel staff which they stated was protocol before calling police. They said they have never had a DJ act like this before in all the weddings they have had an felt they gave a vibe of not being comfortable with our particular race. If you want to book someone who sits there with a playlist and doesn't actually mix music you might as well DJ your own event. I would recommend not booking him as he turned such a happy occasion into a very unacceptable ending. LEARN PROFESSIONALISM DJ KING. Oh and PS he also deletes all bad reviews on wedding wire just and FYI
