The short story: I have been to several other locations, both in the US and Germany, but this location at Potsdamer Platz definitely has the worst customer service of them all. It just opened about a week ago and it seems like they need to work out a few kinks.
The long story: I came in here today only to make an exchange. First of all, they seemed unprepared for the high volume of customers on this verkaufsoffener sonntag (special sunday hours), having only two registers open for a line of 15+ people. Once we made it through the long line, the associates at the register told us that we would have to wait in another line to make our exchange, which cost more time, but that was ok. The problem was that once we got to the right place, they would not take my items back (I wanted to return two shirts that come in those little resealable baggies). I had not worn them and they were in their original packaging + with a receipt, but they flat out told me that because I had merely opened the baggie, they would not take it back. When I proceeded to ask questions as to why (I was given no warning that these items would be exempt from the return policy), I was cut off by the associate at the register who called for the next person in line, really sending me the message that he was not concerned with providing any sort of customer service. For this customer carelessness, I won't be buying from Uniqlo again anytime soon. read more
