This church family is really oriented to help the community and jump in there when others can't or won't. The help and love that they offer to everyone has made them a special place in my heart. read more

The most wonderful welcoming, caring, actively open-armed and open-hearted Christians I have ever known. They live their faith.

Unlike its hell fire and brimstone neighbors, Union is known as an arms open, welcoming congregation, made up of progressive interdenominational peoples. As a non-Christian, I felt welcomed among the masses. I admired the congregation's desire to challenge and educate themselves on global and human rights issues. I also, secretly, enjoyed the flack they receive from formidable, conservative, Southern Baptists--a sign ( to me) that they must be doing something right. A college acquaintance of mine, Chrissy Cataldo, now works here as an Intern Associate Pastor. She's a remarkable woman who, even as a young college undergrad, had the sensibility and warm heart to counsel other students in the most non-judgmental, Christ-loving, way. read more

I couldn't wait to get home and tell my husband and kids how LOVED I felt! My husband came back with me that Sunday night in 2018. "I have never felt so Loved in my whole life." The real test was our kids. Took them to the Kid's Ministry and EVERYDAY they wake up they ask "Is it a church day?" They LOVE the teachers and the people have become family. 2 years later they still want EVERYDSY to be church day. We were loved NOT judged. And our boy has some special needs. HE has never been treated differently and he loves EVERYONE. My whole family is on fire for GOD and I use to be an angry Athiest. My family and friends visit from UTAH and they ALL say the same thing. "The ONLY problem is there is no COTR back home." It is a non denominational church that teaches the BIBLE and that GOD LOVES YOU. And the people there really do love the unlovable and the broken just the way they are when they walk in. I pray you give it a try and that YOU Love it there like we do. In JESUS name Amen GLORY to GOD

Union offers life changing ministry as well as historical significance to the Berea Community. Union Church in itself was founded on revolutionary ideas of the founder of Berea College, John Gee Fee--- and continues to be a revolutionary institution. Today Union Church is one of the few churches in the state of Kentucky who brands themselves as a place of worship who welcomes ALL---including the LGBT community. This foundation can directly related to Fee's commitments to the Berea Community when found both the college and church, in that he believed god has made of one blood all people of the earth. read more

I liked Union Church because its a non-denominational church. The founder had said that any one regardless of what their cast, denomination or color is can use this church. As one of the tour guides of the college was telling me about the history of the church, it was founded by John G. Fee in 1853. Some of Berea College students and staff are members of the church and attend the ceremonies here. The building is nice and the location is good too because its located close to historic Boone Tavern. Its a historic building too because it was built more than one half century ago. read more

Whether you are a history buff or you like to worship in the company of good people, this is an excellent place. The people are extremely welcoming and friendly, they genuinely care about you whether you are just passing through or a regular. Also Union Church is a historic landmark, since it was the first church that Berea College founder John G. Fee started and preached at in Berea. The church itself is getting a makeover, so I would definitely go and check it out when the renovations are finished. read more

Union Church has a great history along the College that the founder created. It has been built by John G. Fee the founder of Berea College. It is a very welcoming church and interdenominational church. I have attended, a concert and a fellowship and was so much impressed. The people just have the sense of Congregation and great sense of community. It is a place a place that one must visit absolutely if interested in History. read more
