As a non-Christian, I felt welcomed among the masses. I admired the congregation's desire to challenge and educate themselves on global and human rights issues. I also, secretly, enjoyed the flack they receive from formidable, conservative, Southern Baptists--a sign ( to me) that they must be doing something right. A college acquaintance of mine, Chrissy Cataldo, now works here as an Intern Associate Pastor. She's a remarkable woman who, even as a young college undergrad, had the sensibility and warm heart to counsel other students in the most non-judgmental, Christ-loving, way.
