I bought my wedding dress on a preowned site, and was pretty sure I'd have to take it in, shorten…read morethe straps, and shorten all gazillion layers of the skirt, including one small area where the tulle was torn a bit. AND...I needed it done in less than a month, which is a rush job for a wedding dress. Because everything surrounding a wedding is twice as expensive and twice as fraught and takes twice as long.... Turns out, Marcia is the antidote to wedding double-everything fever. She responded quickly and kindly to my yelp message plea, and said it was enough time, and not to worry. THEN, when I brought her the dress, she said: you know, it doesn't even need to be hemmed, and hemming it would cost a lot more (because of the gazillion layers) -- but she could just hem the single layer that had a tear in it, and i'd never know it was torn. She hemmed that layer, shortened the straps, added bra cups, and fixed the waist. In TWO WEEKS, I was back to try it on, and it was ready and fit perfectly. And the price for alterations was SO much less (literally hundreds of dollars less) than the price I was quoted by some other places as a "starting price," without even seeing what needed to be done. It's too bad I didn't know about Marcia from the get-go, because I saw some of the dresses she was making from scratch, and they were beautiful. She knows her stuff!! And she's just a lovely person, and her calm rubs off on you. Also, she has a really cute cat.

Was referred to Marcia by a friend. Grateful to have found her. Brought my idea to her and she…read moreimproved upon it for my body type. Very finished look to the dress, very tailored, very professional in her sewing work and personal consultations. Met the timeline and communicated the reality of my needs.

Deals and steals! So delighted this consignment shop exists on the Westside. I've come across and…read morepurchased some amazing consigned men's items at this store -- Chrome Hearts hoodie, sweats, and sunglasses; Balenciaga trench coat; Rimowa luggage; Bottega Veneta & Loewe tote bags. The staff here is so welcoming and sincere, and are not afraid to strike up a warm conversation. The store is run very efficiently for consignors as well -- I've consigned many men's designer that have sold quickly here. I'd say it's easier to find nice designer womenswear. Men's designer is harder to find, but at times you'l get lucky with designer menswear.

Used to love this place but now it's more of a buyer beware situation, based on a recent…read moreexperience. I purchased two candle holders and later got a voicemail saying I owed an additional 33 cents because they'd undercharged me. Odd amount to call about, but I was out of town and didn't call back right away. The next day I answered a call (that turned out to be from them) asking for someone else entirely. Assuming the number was possibly spam, I googled the number, saw it was Trove, and then emailed them directly, saying I understood I owed 33 cents and asking for an invoice. They corrected me. I actually owed $33, not 33 cents, they couldn't send an invoice by email, and wanted me to call and give my card info over the phone instead. After everything already off with this (the wrong number call, the 33-cent voicemail, no email invoicing), I didn't feel comfortable reading my card number to someone over the phone. I offered to stop by in person instead, and asked in advance if they could have a receipt ready showing my original 33 cent charge, so I wouldn't be making the trip for nothing. I rearranged my lunch break to make this happen and showed up as planned. No receipt. They said they'd emailed it, but I'd specifically asked for a printed copy, the least they could do given this was their error to begin with. That request took several days notice and still didn't happen. Their printer was "acting up," so I got no receipt for the original charge and none for the new $33 charge, either! An error on their end turned into a special trip, wasted time on my lunch break, and still no paperwork to show for any of it. Disappointing customer service, especially when the customer is the one who has to burn their own time fixing your mistake. Edited to add, following their reply: I was never contesting the dollar amount being charged. I was happy to pay for what I purchased. I stated that they asked me to call in my card over the phone. I addressed why I was uncomfortable with doing that, and had asked for a way to provide payment electronically. When that option was not available I offered to come in. My disappointment is that despite their error, the wrong amount owed left on my voicemail, a random "wrong number" phone call from them, and inability to accept payment over something like square invoicing / Venmo / etc., all I asked for was a printed receipt. If someone has to make time to come in and fix your error, it's the least you could have done. I'm now even more disappointed in them after this response.

I had such a wonderful experience at Nordstrom Rack, especially with Chema (she's a twin -- both of…read morethem were great!) and the team. Chema truly went above and beyond. I had already spent nearly two hours looking for an outfit for a last-minute business event and was honestly about to leave empty-handed when she offered to help me. She then spent over an hour with me, going back and forth to the fitting room countless times, pulling pieces, helping me put outfits together, and even making sure everything stayed within my budget. She was incredibly patient, kind, attentive, and genuinely invested in helping me find something I felt good in. It honestly felt like having a personal shopper! I walked in stressed and ready to give up, and walked out feeling taken care of and excited about what I found. The service at this location has been great overall, but Chema made this visit exceptional. I will absolutely come back specifically to shop with her ,next time I'm not just browsing, I'm looking for Chema! Thank you for such amazing service.

The clientele are different and there is more walking required to get inside the store. Fortunately, I was able to park near the escalator into the store, which saved time finding the entrance. I don't think I'll be back...
