DO NOT USE THEM FOR A WEDDING…read more They royally messed up our wedding suits by giving all the groomsmen suits off the rack that didn't even match the color that we selected. The grooms suit was correct but every other suit was the wrong size and the wrong color. They offered nothing to make up for the issue and with two days before the wedding, they left us in a jam without any other options. I wanted to use this store because it was a local shop but after my experience, I will never be back and I recommend to not use them.

All of that, to say nothing of the superb customer service and friendly conversation. Luckily I had a good idea of what I wanted done and the young woman behind the counter was super sweet, friendly and helpful. Without hesitating she got some pins and helped me pin my clothing. I dropped them off Monday morning and was surprised and happy to hear they could alter my clothing by Friday afternoon. I swung by a little before my order was supposed to be ready and the same woman was behind the counter. She greeted me with a smile and immediately grabbed my order before she even looked up my name. Thanks for taking care of this! Between the customer service and promptness of the alterations I will absolutely come back.

I have to say that I was completely happy with the workmanship by A Woman Tailor. This dress was a "torture-test" of a job -- and Linda and her helpers came through with flying colors. The finished product was gorgeous. Linda, the owner, is VERY pleasant. My daughter was comfortable with Linda during the fittings. Linda was a good listener, really trying to make sure the dress fitted as my daughter wanted it, but also offering recommendations when needed or asked. Linda's recommendations worked really well for us. Room for improvement? This is a nit-picky comment but we are nit-picky about customer service. My daughter commented that the helper/assistant was not very pleasant when I was not present in the room.

We also planned a day for me to come out and drop off all the garments. So about 1 week later I took everything out to Kellys Sewing Center to drop off. I live in Harbor Creek and its a 45 minute drive one way to her shop from where I live. When I got there the shop was locked and closed with no lights on even though her website on GOOGLE busness and Yelp business stated OPEN NOW. I checked all this before leaving my house to make sure I dont waste my time effort and money. I called the phone number 4 times from the parking lot but when the automated phone answered my phone, I got a recording asking me for an access code. I could not even leave a message. So I had to drive back home. It was 1.5 hours of my time and gas in my car wasted because of this situation and I WAS NOT HAPPY ABOUT IT. So the next day I called and some guy answered and I told him the situation and was still going to do business with them depending on how they handled this. Well the man I spoke to said to me "That's Life Buddy". He offered no explanation or apology and told me Kelly was taking a few days off out of the 4 days per week she is open. When I told him calmly that I was going to leave bad reviews on how they do business , he was rude and hung up on me. I can see they have an attitude and they will never get my business. There is no excuse for that kind of disrespect and attitude towards people that spend money at their business. It tells us all in the Erie, PA area quite a bit about their work and their business and how they treat their customers. I suggest everyone take your alterations and sewing work somewhere other than Kelly's Sewing Center where the customer is treated with respect and without this prima donna attitude. I wont ever go there again.

There could've been a nice way to say things. Also, whenever she claims she can't do a piece (my last two visits), she rushes me off feeling empty. When your tailor makes you feel like you're walking on eggshells to talk to her, that defeats the whole purpose. Ironically, while I was changing back in the dressing room, she had a different customer come in and her face lit up and so did her voice. Terrible and unequal customer service.
