Unica is no longer what they used to be. We had to call and email multiple times to find out our delivery window the day of. The woman who answered the phone was rude and really unhelpful. We had to ask for a manager who was finally minimally helpful. We have been renting from them for years and are going to look elsewhere from now on. read more

We worked with Andrea for our July 2022 wedding rentals. Andrea was super thorough answering all my questions and helped put together a beautiful day for us! We rented the antique crossback chairs, a 60" half round table, napkins, our sweetheart table cloth and a small 12'x12' dance floor so we could have our first dance and parent dances happen during dinner outside (all our other dancing was indoors). Andrea and her team came out to the venue a few weeks before to do a site visit for the dance floor and were excellent at answering all our questions. I had a really disappointing experience with Unica the day of my wedding on 6/3/23. In our contract, I paid over $600 for an exact-time pick up after my event was over and they sent only one worker to pick everything up. He obviously didn't finish on time and I got charged overtime at the venue. This happened over 6 weeks ago and they still refuse to reimburse me for a service that they failed to provide even though I gave them receipts of everything that happened. Additionally, no has called me about the issue and it is me who has to keep emailing and calling to follow up about this. There were also a few other issues that I encountered with this company: 1) They never answer. Its so hard to get a hold of your point person and it takes days to hear back about changes to the reservation order. 2) At the showroom appointment, my point person didn't even show us all of the options in our color theme. When I realized they didn't have what we were looking for, I went back to the website and saw that there were many other options that were never even shown to us in person. It then took my point person over a week to email me a picture of all the napkins lined up. 3) The rentals themselves were not at the quality that I expected. The linens had visible streak/iron marks when I thought they were going to have a smoother look. Also, some of the chairs appeared visibly dirty and they could have done a better job at wiping them down. My advice is to go with someone else. There are so many other great rental companies with better pricing and I am disappointed that I went with Unica. read more

Working with Dany to decide upon the items we needed and choosing linen colors was very pleasant. He seemed genuinely interested and patient in helping make sure the colors I chose were the best for my event theme. I rented everything needed for my son's wedding here. I thought everything was going to be delivered the day before the wedding but in fact it was being delivered the day of. I absolutely LOST IT with Natalie over the phone. I feel so bad for my horrible behavior but I was in a panic. Natalie stayed calm and had a crew put together to deliver everything at 9am and put together for the reception. I am so beyond grateful to her for putting up with me and making things happen. Frustrated: Met Javier and Jose for a site visit at our home, which cost $150, on a Wednesday. Javier ballparked us a quote for one 20x30 tent at $2,500! Not including tables and chairs. They said they'd have a quote to us on Friday, which we never received. In addition to Monday being a holiday, they said we'd have to confirm and reply by 2 p.m. on Tuesday, or we'd be subject to an "emergency set up fee," because they'd have to set up on Friday for a Saturday party and needed 3 full days notice. WE NEVER RECEIVED THE QUOTE. Seeking reimbursement for the $150 site visit and now we still have to find another solution for tents, tables and chairs. VERY Disappointed, and a waste of $150.00. Plus, $2,500 for a tent that actually costs about $300-$500 is ridiculous. And, FYI, Unica website has no costs attached to tents, tables and chairs, so you have no idea if they're charging a fair/consistent price. read more

I can't say enough good things about working with the folks at Unica! Yelp search completely failed me here, because I called all of the 3-star and up places in my area and got pretty much nowhere. Luckily, google search came up with Unica, and I'm so glad it did! I had to do my due diligence, and checked them out on Yelp, and I filled out the quote form in the middle of the night. By the time I was in the office the next morning, I had a quote waiting for me in my inbox! SO FAST! I'm so impressed. I worked with Katie - who was very patient with my questions via email, and was SUPER RESPONSIVE to all of my questions and changes. I was able to get my order locked in within FOUR DAYS of my event. Some of the other places I called couldn't even give me a quote in that short time frame! When I arrived on Saturday morning to pick up my rentals, I was greeted immediately by Katie and she took the time to stand outside in the rain with me to make sure I had everything that I needed. The guys loaded up my SUV, and I was on my way out! I brought a friend because I anticipated having to load everything up myself, but they guys at Unica did it for me! I was in and out of there within 10 minutes! All of the tables, linens, and the canopy that I rented were in great shape, and very easy to set up. After the event, all I had to do was bag up the linens, put the canopy back into its rolling case, and take apart the tables. Super easy! When I went in to return, I just opened the back of my SUV, the guys unpacked all of it for me, and I was on my way out within 10 minutes. These guys are fantastic to work with! Mike, I went to look at the dance floor and asked Lucia if it was ok to hold the dance floor until 4:30. She then asked "so you want the dance floor?" I then replied " yes I need to get another vehicle because it will not fit in my car, can I come back at 4:30?" she said "no problem I will save it for you until then "and put her hand out for me to shake it. Instead of at least saving it until 5 and then selling it would have been understandable but your staff was unprofessional and did not stick to the agreement. I needed to buy a dance floor and not rent one for the same price of owning that. There were no post on yelp about your company until I wrote my post. now all the sudden you have a slew of 5 star post after within a few days apart. Not only was the equipment provided sub-standard, but to say that the customer service was rude would be a gross understatement. She did a wonderful job of communicating and was always quick to respond to any quesitons I had. We weren't able to confirm the final number of attendees until close to the event. It was not a problem for Mari to be flexible with us. Day of delivery was about 30 minutes late BUT the employees were responsible in calling ahead and were very apologetic.
