They screwed up sending my check to where its taken over a week and me having to call every day and correct them and I still haven't received payment. Also my personal property that was in my vehicle when repossessed was all lost. THOUSANDS of dollars of music equipment was just lost and nobody can tell me what happened to my stuff. Once again a bank screws the little guy. I'm more than frustrated and couldn't feel more betrayed.

I've had two auto loans from this branch. The whole process was fairly *simple* for the course…read more While my DTI ratio was perfect, my credit "worthiness" was not the best, they still worked out a loan for me without a cosigner on my first vehicle with them. Second time around was no question as I'd worked my credit history and score back to a more than positive category. The only issue with the loan aspect was the amount of money they capped me on my second loan. My income was higher, my utilization across multiple accounts was under 30% and It was still ridiculously low. Especially after paying diligently with no missed payments on the first loan (and only paid it off a couple months early, so they got a majority of their interest at 14.5%). I only needed a small chunk more (small in the loan world) to get the vehicle we really needed and wanted. Instead I had to settle with a completely different model that, while we have made due and has served us decently, does not efficiently provide the needs of my child and I. The price jump that would've been added to the loan cap for the other car we needed was not "risky" at all in lender terms. It would've made payments roughly $10-$15 more a month. They weren't willing to negotiate at all in this aspect. I make significantly more money than the average person and have a strong credit history, yet I was capped at such a low amount for a second loan here. I'll probably go elsewhere for my next loan. Secondly, for being the only credit union in Whitinsville, they have annoyingly archaic hours and an ancient ATM. Luckily I Don't heavily rely on this option of banking or use them as a main means for stacking my money. If they want to survive with pulling in customers of the younger generations, they need to update I'm the worst way and do it fast. They're losing so much business just by this simple fact. Especially when there are two other banks within a 400yd radius and another one a 1/3 mile down the road that offer late night ATM use that isn't limited to just pulling money. They *NEED* to update the ATM and offer cash deposits that don't rely on a banker posting it to the account in the morning after they open and count like in Douglas. Although that would be a wildly efficient upgrade from what they offer now, which is nothing other than cash withdrawal. Some of the lovely women that worked there and are now retired, had been saying for years that upgrades were right around the corner and it hasn't ever happened. I'm just not sure if it'll be worth having this be my go to C.U. for loans anymore or any finance for that matter. I don't even bother having a savings account because there are very minimal incentives that are majorly bypassed by other banking options. The staff has remained kind and helpful, so I wish I could give 5 stars based on that. But unfortunately there are too many other problems that overshadow the "small-town banking" feel.
