    French toast donut
    Sar A.

Killer, and insanely delicious donuts every sweet tooth must try, because one kind of donut just might not never be enough. I've tried couple and my favorite was the French Toast donut- it surely satisfied my sweet tooth. Three and Four Quarter Yelps.

French toast, 420?, homer, monkey chunk, and a 420.

Aw man I love these donuts! They come hot, fresh, and delicious. They aren't like normal donuts you typically find in Philly such as Golden or Federal Donuts. These guys are a little smaller and resemble the flavor and texture of funnel cake, but way tastier. They have different flavors of frost they "dunk" the donuts into and then a variety of dustings and toppings. You can create your own or choose from some suggestions. The toppings range from blueberries to bacon. The truck stops by Love Park, so I've grabbed a few dozen for the office and managed to try all of their donut combos. Pretty cool dudes working there, too. Eat the donuts.

    Treats for the office!

As I was scooting through City Hall on a Friday morning, I spied the Undrgrnd Donuts truck parked all by itself in a SE corner of the courtyard. This unexpected amenity naturally demanded some sleuthing and an in-the-moment Yelp search. Yelp reviews persuaded me to approach this mysterious truck. I was greeted by a VERY chipper and helpful fellow, who provided a quick overview of the donut customization process. The donuts are freshly-made on-site (although not warm when handed to you). I selected several varieties for my office-mates (see photos). The treats were boxed and ready to go in about 5 minutes. The donuts were fresh and had a good crumb. The office crew kvelled about the S'mores and any with Nutella. I found mine a bit too sweet but nicely executed. I personally prefer Federal's "hot and fresh" donuts, which are larger, less sweet and steaming hot when handed to you. I, however, will happily return given my crew's enthusiasm for these donuts. Hope to see Undrgrnd at the next Vendy awards!

I actually found this food truck while searching up some donut places around the area, and boy I am glad I did!!! To note one thing, this food truck is not located on 33rd and arch, its actually located in different locations everyday. You can check the times and locations on their website, but its two locations mainly. One outside the 30th street station and the other by the navy dock. Anyways. My friends and I got to the food truck nice and early. The guy who works there was super friendly. We chose about 6 to get the big box and got a discount. He even threw in an extra donut!! The donuts were a little small though, smaller than dunkin donuts ones by a third. But it doesn't matter!! The donuts were scrumptious. To name a few we had the monkey chunk, the wake up, black forest, camping out, and the french toast. All very good and sugary. My favorite was the black forest. Oh boyy were they yummy.

I LOVE this truck! I love that the people who work there are friendly, the food is delicious and fun, and the prices are more than fair. I enjoy food trucks in general, but have found portion sizes and prices to be off at many of the new ones in Philly. I like supporting an independent/local business, and enjoy the convenience of walking outside my office and buying lunch (we don't have many options close by, so it's certainly a treat when I don't have to drive or order delivery). but Undrgrnd Donuts has it figured out. you order and the donut/coffee/whatever is ready fast. the menu is fun and changes a little each and every time. and I loooove the "420" donut, where the toppings are picked randomly for you based on inspiration/what they have around. I've gotten it 3 times and each time it's been better than the last. all this to say - try out Undrgrnd Donuts. you won't be disappointed.

Amazing donuts - the consistency and taste of the donut itself is similar to a funnel cake. Chocolate dunk is the absolute best! We stopped by yesterday at the Manayunk food festival and the staff was more than happy to make me a custom donut. Great service and food, I'll be back!

Best donuts ever! I throughly enjoyed the 6 pack I bought from the night market: Homer, French Toast and Captain Krunch. The donuts are served warm. I dare you to try to just eat one.

Ask the Community - Undrgrnd Donuts

Is this business still going on? I went to the location Yelp suggested on a Sunday afternoon, but didn't find it. Probably it was outside their hours, but I did see a similar yellow truck with a board in the front saying Happy Sunshine Lunch Truck.

This place was HUGE. It went on for miles in all directions. There were tons of people filling all the space. It was tight in there. I had to use all my aggressive navigation skills to get around. I was also constantly rubber necking to take in all the food stalls and vendors. I could have spent an entire day there exploring and would have seen maybe a third of what's there. Unfortunately I was only in town for a day, so aside from quickly walking through, I stopped at a bar for a really good cider. Overall, excellent visit and I definitely want to go back!

As it turns out, everything is available. Cheeses, meats, donuts, ice cream, candies, desserts, coffee, and everything in between to include small rocks and crystals. Realistically you can spend a good 3-4 hours in this market alone. Wandering the aisles, ordering various food options from various vendors and then finding a seat to sit down and enjoy your food. That last part, finding a table to sit down and eat your food could be a bit tricky. When we first arrived at the market it was 9:30 a.m. and we were able to find a seat without much trouble. When we returned to the market for a second time, around 1:30 p.m. it was noticeably more packed inside and I had to do two loops before a table cleared up. There are so many vendors inside you really can't even come close to trying them all in one visit. I would like to come back and try some more places next time. As for parking, I was told to park at the Convention Center parking structure, but when I arrived there was a large sign stating that parking was full. I ended up finding a public parking lot at Commerce & N. 13th St which I parked at, but after 4 hours or so I think it cost me about $50. To be expected, unfortunately, for big city parking.
