I saw him because another doctor in the practice was not available. I am in the medical field…read moremyself and I would never treat a patient of mine in such a condescending manner as he treats a patient. I have been having pain since I was eleven years old. I know how my body works and my pain is very real and it is a real problem. Was told verbatim and I quote, "your pain is in your head". I couldnt believe a dr would say that to me; when I tried to see someone else in his practice I had to get my therapist to call them and advocate for me because they would not return my calls. They told my therapist I was filing a lawsuit against them and slammed the phone on her, (whom by the way is the kindest sweetest old lady), when I had no such intention. I am on medicaid and dont even have money to do such a thing; nor would I want to as I am not a vindictive person. I went to another practice in New Britain and finally had laporoscopic surgery and was diagnosed with stage four endometriosis. I dont want other women to go through what I went through. I want Drs to know women cannot be treated this way. We are people not pieces of meat and a paycheck and our pain is real and we deserve to have our medical problems taken seriously. I sincerely hope no one else is dismissed in such a way and his practice starts treating women more empathetically and not gas light them into believing they are crazy and their pain is fake or "in their head".

I was told I would be able to be in the room with my husband during his procedure by the medical assistant that brought us back. When Regie saw me sitting in the room as she was walking down the hall she waited until Dr.Desai walked out of the room after numbing my husbands toe before telling me it wasn't allowed (I had been in the room for over 10 minutes at that point). My husband then heard her berating the women who said it was okay for me to be in the room.

What an unprofessional medical practice. My son woke up with…read morea mysteriously swollen face. We think it may have something to do with a previous tooth injury that Dr Reid had seen him for. After visiting our dentist this morning we were told to seek a second opinion from Dr Reid. Upon calling Dr Reid with what we deemed as something semi-urgent we were told to go to Emergency room because he had no time to see our son for at least a month. Said maybe the ER would give him medication at least. There was no concern or care for our son, THEIR PATIENT! Dr Reid didn't even contact to ask questions and did not even bother viewing x-rays that were sent from our dentist. Oh well, apparently they don't care about losing patients, but they just did.
