On arrival the staff was friendly but the room where you pick up the robes and slippers was disorganized and poorly marked. We got to our room which was small but sufficient in space for a standard room. The view was really wonderful but the room itself was pretty worn down. The furniture was new but when looking at the room itself, the floors and doors were very scratched, and there was a noise that sounded like rushing water through the pipes. We got the spa that that was awesome, super relaxing with another great view. As we got ready for bed at like 1 am there was very loud, audible bass thumping and yelling from a party. I am not a light sleeper but this was really annoying and didn't end until about 2 am. I know the property does parties once a month but those are cancelled now because of the corona situation. I have no clue why there was such a large party going on. Additionally, we had two twin beds pushed together that had flimsy pillowtops which slid all over. We did not have a good night's sleep. In the morning we went for breakfast. Fresh cheesy, warm eggs and bacon, sandwiches, and a veggie option too. For drinks they had apple juice, tea and coffee. It was a basic breakfast but everything was prepared well. Overall I'd say that if you want a meal and spa day this is a fun place but avoid the hotel if you can.

The grounds are quite…read morebeautiful and the view of the water that you can see from the dining room, outdoor pool and spa are fantastic. The spa itself is very big, with a large indoor warm pool that looks out to the water. There are a few smaller pools that may fit roughly 10 people that are built into the wall like small caves. The large dry wood sauna has a glass floor to ceiling window that also faces the water. There are two other saunas, one steam one dry. The treatment room is fairly barebones in the decor, but both treatments I had were excellent, a collagen facial & pedicure that was more like a foot treatment. Estheticians were very professional and great at what they do. I'd give the spa service and staff 5 stars. Only 3 overall as the hotel rooms are very small, minimalist and property feels very much like its suited for conferences and large groups. This would be a great venue for a bachelorette / bachelor party.

My parents and I went here today and at first it seemed a bit deserted because we came in the off…read moreseason in November. But after we went through the entrance gate we found the animals. We came on a Monday and we only passed about 3 other people. Then when we got to the leopard exhibit they were being fed and it was very entertaining watching the leopards run over and eat. The animals I enjoyed seeing the most were the Tigers, wild dogs, the snow leopard, the Wolverines and the red panda. Furthermore, I really liked how much space each animal got in their enclosure. It's nice to see that these endangered animals get so much space in these very natural enclosures.
