Oryana Community Co-op is hands-down my favorite place to stop in Traverse City for a vegan meal,…read morewhether it's breakfast, lunch, or just a coffee. Oryana is truly a vegan haven. Not only do they have an amazing selection of grab-and-go items, but their made-to-order options are equally impressive. Their vegan dill wrap is one of my favorites and packed with flavor. I also love their prepared tofu slices, especially the curry and smoked varieties. Most recently, I tried the peanut tofu wrap and it was absolutely out of this world, incredibly flavorful, satisfying, and very filling. They also have fantastic options on the hot bar. One standout for me is the vegan breakfast burrito. It's only around $4, surprisingly filling, and loaded with flavor. A little messy to eat, but completely worth it! If you're vegan and visiting Traverse City, Oryana is an absolute must-visit.

This store is absolutely incredible. It's a medium-sized store but it has so much to offer and I enjoyed it it doesn't feel like on the side a big box grocery store. This store is unique and many ways and the prices on all your grocery items are actually very fair. You can expect to find hard to find vegan items, a great selection of Health Products your bathroom or just everyday life. The cafe and the little dining room in the back is such a great touch to the store. The soup selection is awesome incredible awesome featuring some vegan items. Great selection of alcoholic beverages as well! I also visited it's sister store only a couple of miles away and it's just as good but I feel like this location has a slight Edge over it. Highly recommend checking out this store if you're in the area or are vacationing like myself.

I slash my food bill by half with this store alone. Some of the products we enjoy more than their more popular counterparts. Most everything we bought at the other grocery stores, we can find here. For less. If your not familiar with Aldi, bring a quarter with you to lease a shopping cart. It sounds silly, but, we as a society are so cheap that we'll return the cart just to get the quarterback. This location NEVER has idle shopping carts roaming around the parking lot, ramming into your car. Pretty smart. The ambiance is just as great as the more popular chains. You need to bring your own bags/boxes or purchase them for a small pittance. Personally, I think it's silly, but it contributes to the company saving and hopefully passing it along to its customers! 11/23

We feel that paying a bit more for the quality is well worth it. The on-farm store also sells Graham's eggs and spelt products, Graham's pepperoni, a few regional organic cheeses and Hillhof milk in bottles. One caveat: Because this is a small family enterprise, "you get what you get" in the freezer -- some days you'll have plenty of cuts/products to choose from, other days not so much -- so if you're looking for particular cuts of meat, it pays to call ahead. (Also, the farm store closes early, at 1 pm, on Saturdays and is closed on Sundays.) You can also find Graham's products at Greentree Coop in Mount Pleasant and Nature's Bounty natural foods store in Midland. This is a great excuse for a drive in the country!
