I am very disappointed to write this review, but Burn Fitness 24-7 is demonstrating a staggering…read moretolerance of a gym member who has verbally harassed, sexually harassed, bullied, and intimated another gym member without provocation. This has occurred on two separate occasions over the last month. After the first encounter, the gym owner had a discussion with the man in question where several conditions and responses to his behavior were reportedly discussed. During the second encounter with this man, he demonstrated blatant disregard for all of the conditions presented by the gym owner. He sexually harassed me and reiterated hateful and inappropriate speech he used during the first encounter. He told the gym owner, verbatim, that the intent of his behavior during the first encounter was "to scare her" and that his actions were justified. His membership was not suspended or revoked. The gym owner did then post a Code of Conduct in the gym saying "Failure to do so [conduct yourself in a manner that abides by our Code of Conduct] can result in termination." However, this was absolutely a hollow gesture, as the man in question has broken every item on the Code of Conduct without his membership being terminated. The gym owner told me that there is effectively a three strikes policy for harassment and that because I am the only one who is experiencing harassment by this man, that she is unable to make a rash decision regarding his membership. This is despite the Membership Agreement that states, The Club reserves the right to... terminate this membership immediately for any reason or no reason whatsoever." He has certainly given ample reason for his membership to be terminated. As the victim of his harassment, I am now frightened to use the gym, knowing that this man could enter and continue his harassment at any time. Although he and the gym owner did discuss him only using the gym at certain hours, he demonstrated flagrant disregard for this condition during the second encounter. Also, that plan restricts the hours that I can safely use the gym, effectively punishing me for his poor behavior instead of holding him accountable. While I don't hold Burn Fitness 24-7 responsible for this man's abhorrent actions, I do hold the gym owner responsible for tolerating his behavior and disregarding another member's safety. I provided additional information regarding these situations to the gym owner, requesting reconsideration and a response, but have not been dignified with a response. The gym owner purports that gym community is a priority, but is not taking decisive actions to demonstrate this. I am not valued, safe, or respected at this gym, and that is very disappointing.

I've had memberships at many gyms and worked with multiple personal trainers over the years. Burn…read moreFitness 24/7 is by far the best. It's so much more than a place to workout. It's a caring community lead by an owner that genuinely cares about the well being of the members. I'm always greeted by name when I come in. There's always someone there to encourage and push me on when I think I cant do one more burpee. Someone notices when I miss a class. It's so much easier to stick to a fitness an with a community of support like the one at Burn Fitness 24/7.

Wife and I were in town for the CrossFit Games in Madison. We wanted a gym that, if we could…read moreactually find it, would be a "hybrid" between CrossFit and a regular gym. Holy crap we found it - literally - with Hybrid Athletic Club! Want to do CrossFit stuff with turf, sleds to push/pull, ropes (both hanging and battle), dead balls, wallballs, a rig, GHDs, rowers, you name it? Got it. Want to do standard bodybuilding with dumbbells, barbells, basic selectorized machines or regular cardio on ellipticals or treadmills or step mills or an air bike or ....? Got it! The two women who own it are super nice and it's obvious they are REALLY trying to do well by their members. In the mind blown category, as if what I already said isn't enough, one of the owners, who is OBVIOUSLY a MUCH better person than me, remembered my name from the previous day. Huh? Yep. She came over to me as I was foam rolling and said "Hi David" - think about that, I'm in town for three days, I'll never have a full on membership there due to where I live, and she remembered my name. Hell, I go to the LA Fitness 3x/week and I can't even get the counter person to say high when they are HOLDING the fob scanner 18 inches away from me! It gets even better. They are a 24/7 facility with fob access. So we got a fob, paid the very reasonable fee for our three days of use and we were all set - we could come and go as we pleased, any day or time we wanted. That's almost weird it's so good - since it wasn't a globo Anytime Fitness and the like. The 2nd day I saw something I've NEVER seen in my 33 years as a gym rat and probably NEVER will again. There was a CrossFit class going on AND there was figure/bodybuilding/physique posing clinic going on in other areas of the gym. Think about THAT - CrossFit and physique co-existing in the same building? Yep - and since I love both it was pretty freakin cool to see. We will definitely be back to this facility when we return next year - this is OUR gym while we're in town now. We just wish there was such a place in Springfield. If I had more than two thumbs I'd give it more than two thumbs up - same goes for the five stars.

Fair enough and my apologies for overlooking that by including my update in the Fit Fresh review. Hybrid shows real results via several ads that run in the WSJ. I was willing to pay the cost to join for those results in the time frame I had to complete. The bonus: I had a friend complete the program and although he's male (and men lose weight faster) I saw the same results in him and took his feedback to heart. So I was really excited to start the meal plan first and complete my bootcamp contract out then go over to Hybrid. My personal experience: The place appears to be clean and well kept. Hybrid Fitness apparently excutes the BCOR bootcamp committment in this area until someone else is able to handle the downtown/east/suburbian areas. I signed up with Bcor anticipating the start of my experience at the end of July 2012. Because of my previous experience and most recent email contact I decided this may not be smart to attend. I got unnerved after receiving a Yelp email that the Fit Fresh review received a response, but it was removed (no real issue there) + I received a harrasing message referring to my review via my inbox. So combine that inbox message with the removed message - call me smart to be nervous and suscipicous. Now, I'm over my fears of the Yelp stalker or at least the fears don't outweigh my hope in meeting my new deadline before having to report back to the unit. To that end, I'll report back in 90days how the workouts go.
