Multiple staff members assured me "that's not supposed to happen" but offered me no solution or reason why this happened. No one seemed remotely bothered that this had happened. I was not even offered my money back. They kept asking if I was on Accutane, which I am not. Even if I had been, this was not asked at all prior to the wax. I really enjoy the way they approach washing your hair. They treat it like an experience rather than a task. All this takes place in a separate room with dimmed lighting and often soothing music. It is a great environment to relax, and the scalp massage takes it over the top! Over the years, both my daughters have seen the results of my experience at the salon and started going to Elevation as well. This was quite a feat as my girls have curly hair and bad experiences with other salons made them hesitant to try yet someone else new. They've both been real pleased with their experiences too. Aja as well as Gena are at least two stylists at the salon who know how to work with naturally curly hair which is a plus. Still love the old salon, but couldn't separate myself from her skilz Salon specific stuff... - It's small, intimate and super chic (pronounced sheek... not chick people) - artsy and clever design elements make it a fun place to look around while you're waiting - fireplace in the winter. brilliant. - the shampoo area is a separate room... dark, quiet & relaxing music unlike the other spot in town, this place does accept tips which is fine with me because as I said, Heidi is pretty fabulous and she shampoos my hair too so its not like you have to tip two separate people I have long hair which i fear getting cut, so having someone who knows how to cut perfect layers and color it just right in a unique little salon is right up my alley, or in this case right up Eldorado :-)
