I suffer from arthritis, bad knees and a frozen shoulder. I explained to Ling Ling the areas that were painful and she carefully massaged neck, shoulders and knees focusing on the pain points. The hot stones helped relax the muscles making the massage experience more comfortable. When I came in for my appointment I had trouble bending my left knee. When I left, I was able to bend my knee and even manage the stairs in the salon. After a couple of days, I can now sit comfortably with little to no pain in my body. More expensive than I've ever paid even on a cruise ship, but I get it-it's a resort town. Everything went great until it didn't. Be aware that in the end, they charge a hefty credit card fee, as each therapist is an independent contractor. We didn't know this. With their already high prices (conveniently including their own chosen amount tip already included for themselves) the credit card fee can be well over $20. Then I'm also paying a credit card fee on the top? Nah. Since I'm not really into paying unnecessary fees, I was then told that one technician takes only Venmo or Zelle. And the other ONLY Zelle. This complicated things as we don't typically use those payment apps (we do use Apple Cash, but neither accepted those. And of course we weren't carrying around $700 in cash. (I could have brought cash, had I known). So then the uncomfortable awkwardness came. Yeah I could have just paid the fee and been done but I was aggravated that this was not disclosed anywhere on their website. Not that they were independent contractors nor the % fee for credit cards nor the limited payment apps. We double checked while there and couldn't find anything on their site. Additionally when I made the reservation I was prepared to prepay and offered but the receptionist stated that we would pay at the time of service, which is most frustrating because she didn't mention why or anything about additional fees or limited payment options. So, all the stress that was just removed IMMEDIATELY came back. It was embarrassing also because a large party came in and crowded the small waiting area and some other older technician came over and demanded we pay NOW so they could begin with their new clients. I thought she was "the boss" but no, just asserting power. Because of that I'm tempted to even lower another star rating, which I did just because of that. Our therapists were nice about it, but looked worried, which they needed not be. We are good people. We worked it out with making a phone call and having the 2 payments sent. But I thought people should know this before they go: The techs are independent contractors. They each add on their own tip (as stated on their website) but how much that is-you don't know Some techs only take certain types of payment And one older tech was not compassionate about the situation and pretty much humiliated us for not wanting us to pay extravagant needless credit card fees. We will try a different place next time. But at least others will know if they read this.

The level of urgency and communication so far does not reflect the seriousness of the situation. I am requesting that management conduct a formal review, including verification with housekeeping, review of lost-and-found records, and any applicable security procedures, and provide a direct, documented follow-up.

I stayed in a suite which had a private patio with a stone tub so you can have your own personal mineral bath. The room was very clean, not a lot of amenities, but it did have a small kitchenette and a very cool record player complete with records to play. There are three mineral pools. One is smaller with jets and has a higher temperature than the other two. There's another bigger one that serves as a swimming pool with a lower temperature. And the third one is enclosed with a medium temperature. As you walk further through the garden and down some stone steps, you will reach a small spa that has various rooms for treatments. There is also a dry sauna, showers, and an infrared sauna on the outside. This one was my favorite because the glass doors face the garden. It was very Zen. The massage therapist were very good. Thank you to Landon and Andrew for that. I really appreciated the intimacy of the Resort and all of the staff were very friendly and accommodating. Mel was especially helpful and kind. Why did I choose The Spring Resort? I LOVE the heat and I LOVE hot springs! The resort is not huge but has three mineral pools, a large open air pool, medium size dipping pool and smaller hot tub. All naturally hot and restoring. The rooms are peaceful without TVs but still have WiFi available. Robes and slippers are also in the rooms along with a mini fridge that was in the closet. The pools and towels are available 24/7. When we visited average outside temp was 110 degrees. We didn't lay out like lizards during the day and opted for cooler quiet late night relaxing pool time. We had the pools to ourselves and it was so peaceful! The medium size pool that was indoors was the perfect temp for me and I enjoyed it very much! They offer a light breakfast option of healthy cereals, oats, hard boiled eggs, toast with juice, tea, or coffee. The resort is very chill and peaceful. We noticed a bachelorette/birthday gathering during our stay. They were a bit loud, slightly obnoxious, but I guess that is what happens when you gather a group of girls for a spa day. The resort also offers day passes to enjoy the hot springs. We were surprised one morning to find guests outside our room already sprawled out on the chaise lounge chairs. We didn't mind since we were going to spend the day out exploring the downtown area. So claim your spots early! The staff is friendly and helpful.
