There is no cross-ventilation, and the tin sidings of this structure absorb the heat, and the room is unbearably warm. Also, the heat from the kitchen adds to the discomfort. The Park provides two large industrial fans, but unfortunately, offer little help, and they are loud. Perhaps some modification can be done to accommodate the season and with that more rental opportunities!

I am revising to clarify my original 2 star rating after a question about our experience. We are in a 45 ft 2015 RV towing a vehicle. The gal at check in sent us up to a close area where we never should have been for our size. We then called the desk and they sent people to help us get back out of the area and brought us down to the lake where there was one spot left and was sufficient. Point is that we were lucky not to damage property and someone should have known better at the desk. I will give the park a 5+ star rating for being great for smaller campers, tents, kids, etc. Clean and obviously the owners care about their park. Educate the desk employees. If we had agreed to the spot we were first sent to, the neighbors' fire pit would have been burning under one of our slide outs. Impossible situation. A great spot for families in smaller accommodations or tents.

I mistakenly stated that our vehicle met those requirements because we had pulled a boat in the past. When I attempted to clarify this instead of being helpful and try and explain it further the sales person said why did you say you had it when you did not? Called me a liar. Let me tell you, I would drive to DC before I rented anything from this place. I cannot even imagine how a customer would be treated if there was an issue with their products if this is how they treat you during a simple rental inquiry.

The rv was a slightly older model (our choice as it was less expensive). Regardless, it ran flawlessly up and back. I had questions and my calls to "Bob" were answered quickly and he did a good job making us feel relaxed and worry free. Now for the cons. Although few, here they are. 1) and most important, cleanliness. Exterior very clean, interior, not so much. Rug appeared to have never been shampooed, floors were not mopped. Although everything was wiped down, inside the storage cabinets were filthy, and this is where we are supposed to store our food? 2) the unit we rented boasted 3 cable ready tv's. Well, arrived at the campsite, started to rain so we figured, good time to try the televisions. None worked. I had the campsite employees check the signal coming in to the RV and it proved to be working perfectly. I even swapped out the provided cable wire with my own much better quality cable wire. After repeated calls to Bob and even with his prompt responses, the final answer was "it's never happened before". Although very apologetic, there was nothing he could do. It really wasn't the end of the world for us but beware families with teenagers as it will be a miserable trip for all. Next time we'll check before we leave. 3) this one isn't a con but mostly just bringing it up. To the owners of Freedom Rentals, why wouldn't you post your contract on the website? After providing you the required down payment wasn't the time to find out there was a substantial contract we had to sign. After thoroughly reading your contract, it's clear you must of been burned several times, but, we signed knowing that we would lose some of our deposit had we not. A tad odd? And finally, Upon returning the RV, on time I might add and much cleaner as well, (did I mention if we were late it would be a $25 charge?). Did I mention a similar charge if we were LATE to pick up the RV? Really? Maybe it's me, but no one asked us how the trip went, how the RV ran, if everything worked okay, nothing. Three days later we got our deposit back but still no phone calls, explanation about the televisions, nothing. Not even a survey. Being this is the first review on yelp, it's unlikely they will read this ....but maybe. Would we rent again., sure, now that we know all the rules. Will try the group in Harrisburg next just so we can compare. Very friendly group, Bob was the best, just a little strange business practices. I give three stars for cleanliness and lack of cable television. If it turns out I was wrong about the TVs, i'll edit it out. Hope this helps.

Our friends rented from this place a few weeks ago & had such a bad experience with the camper having so many issues but we gave them a chance anyways because we have owed campers and know that sometimes things happen. The reviews were good & the RV itself looked nice from the photos... we were very naïve. We got to the rental place & no one there even knew what camper we were there to pick up I had to show them my reservation on the RVeazy app. The gentlemen then brought us over to the camper and did not initiate any inspection which is required when renting on Rveazy so I went ahead and did it myself. There was a very significant amount of physical damage to in exterior and interior of the camper but all in all it looked decent enough and we wanted to get back on the road. By the time we got to where we were going, set up & started the generator & propane we noticed quickly that the fridge and freezer were not getting cool whatsoever. We gave it over 2 hours and then I contacted Wendy to let her know that it was not working and we also realized that the camper door did not latch shut either. She told me nothing she could do until the morning when her mechanic could call us back. We therefore went from 5pm to 11am with nowhere to store our perishable goods. When her mechanic called us the next day he requested photos and videos of what was not working that we provided immediately to him & to Wendy. We kept as much as we could on ice in the coolers we brought it in but that could only do so much in 80 degree weather. So now we were out $100 worth of good, could not get the camper door to shut or stayed closed and when we thought things could not get more frustrating my daughter went to go sit at the kitchen area only to have her leg stabbed by a nail sticking out of the wood behind the kitchenette. After we saw what happened we looked at the wood to see DOZENS on nails and staples poking out and we were furious at this point. My husband went to check the generator and propane tank to just to realize that we had already gone through almost the entire propane tank in less than 20 hours which is absurd. We took it off and immediately could smell that it was leaking so we contacted the company again and they gave us the run around how the tank they gave us wasn't full because they just added it to our reservation for free which was false because there is an added $25 for propane on our rental agreement. We had to not only drive 40 in away from our camp site now to get food for us and our daughter but also to have to purchase a new propane tank. All all in this was a nightmare and the only thing that made it worse was Wendy the owner gaslighting me the entire time and basically saying we don't know how to use a camper and we should have kept our food in the cooler inside out car so it didn't go bad. Keep in mind, I made her aware of our food spoiling on Friday around 8pm, only 4 hours into our rental and she waited until Sunday when I requested money back for the propane she charged us for that was leaking, the propane we had to go out and buy and for some of our food that went to waste due to her fridge & freezer not working and her response to me was atrocious. She DEMANDED I send her photos of our food in trash bags that we had to throw out, and to send proof to her of the injury to my daughters leg. She also said "well from the photos and videos you sent on Saturday of the fridge not working and blinking there was not much food in the fridge to begin with.".... YEAH BECAUSE IT ALL WENT BAD AND WAS IN THE GARBAGE! She is a diabolic and dishonest person to say the least & I am writing this obnoxiously long review to WARN ANYONE thinking of renting from this company or from Wendy on RVeazy in Walden NY to stay away and please save yourself a huge headache and a lot of money.

The interior is finished completely in tongue & grove knotty Pine, with 2 heads, 3 sleeping areas plus additional space for children on the bow enclosure. Watching the wildlife and beautiful countryside drift buy was truly a relaxing experience. At times we felt like we were traversing an amazon river, as we were the only boat on the water. The owner was aware of this and expected us to spend part of our 3-day trip going out of our way to pump out the tanks, which really cut into our plans. The bow thrusters didn't work, which made it extremely hard (and sometimes unsafe) for us as beginners to handle such a long canal boat through locks and docks. On top of that, the bikes listed in the rental weren't there, and instead of the promised refrigerator, we were given a cooler with ice. While the owner did have explanations for these issues, he never gave us a heads-up before we arrived, nor did he offer any partial or full refund. Between the missing amenities, broken equipment, and the sewage issue, the whole trip fell far short of what was advertised, and we returned the boat after one day. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend this rental.
