The paver work will last 50 years, the bushes he selected were large and lush and even bigger than I first selected, everything is well placed and level! The sod work was excellent, they cleaned up everything from gravel in the street and yard to any trash or mess each night. For the Sod, they hand and shovel removed the old weeded areas without pesticides and made sure the earth was properly prepared with a layer of sod dirt before they laid it down. I highly recommend G and R if you want the work done properly and to last. Thank you Gairy and your whole polite and knowledgeable team.

Third job: (Last fall) paid for manual pulling/removal of Bermuda grass from garden beds, plus weed control and mulch. Emphasis on manual removal - explicitly was told they would pull all the Bermuda out manually to get all the roots out. Took a bit of chasing around to get them to actually get it on the books, and then when they did come they just buzzed everything with a string trimmed and sprayed weed killer over that. We agreed to still pay the full price on the condition that Gairy would send a team out in the spring once the Bermuda woke up and inevitably came through the mulch since it wasn't removed. He agreed, and we left it at that. Flash forward to this year and has completely ghosted us and been non-responsive. Even tried asking about having a bunch of other services added so that it wouldn't be a totally free trip, but still No luck. We finally gave up on any hope of getting the promised services, hired Mr. Outdoor Living, dropped like $4K on services with them instead and will be sticking with them next year when we do a sprinkler system and stone retaining walls.

The home had been vacant for quite a while so the front and back yards were in or pretty rough shape. I contacted Jim and he got back to me quickly and came to look at the yard for an estimate exactly when he said he would. A miracle in and of itself in Charlotte where service people are notorious for not returning calls, making appointments and not showing up and just generally disappointing customers. The price was extremely reasonable and he was able to get it scheduled right away. When he arrived, on time!, he quickly realized the gate I had was too narrow for his awesome manly mowing machine so he asked if he could basically build a gate on the other side of the house. Yes, dude built a gate! I am still overwhelmed with the level of service provided by Cardinal Lawn Care. Attention to detail and thoroughness are Jim's specialties. He is professional, dedicated to building a stellar business and truly cares about the quality of work he does. I highly recommend contacting Cardinal for all your lawn care needs, you won't be disappointed this time!

I discovered Growing Green Works through a recommendation on Next Door. After a simple overview of…read morethe work (retaining walls, gravel pathways, french drains), several suggested I give them a call. And I am so happy I did, too! Soon a polite and professional person contacted us and an appointment was made. Mauricio and his wife Gabriella (Gabby) made copious measurements, asked tons of questions, and snapped lots of pictures. Within a couple of days, a detailed proposal arrived with each aspect of the scope of work outlined. Pictures of how it would look were included, differing ways to pay, and extremely competitive pricing. We had four bids and Growing Green Works was considerably lower. For a young company their digital setup for paying invoices, signing contracts, making adjustments, and for communication is impressive--it actually sealed the deal for me. Within days of signing the contract they were on site. Daybreak to sunset. Short breaks. Hard working. Skillful. Committed. No trash laying around. They not only finished ahead of schedule, no repricing was needed, either. Overall, it is a joy to collaborate with them. These are resolute folks who are serious about their work.
